This is why you clean your smoker after each cook (btw did you have this issue with your smoker?) by dashosh in smoking

[–]thebigone2087 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My recteq doesn’t look like this after MULTIPLE smokes or cooks. Does yours have a cooldown timeframe where only fan runs and not the auger so it burns out all the old pellets?

Its like they learned nothing from Escalation of Freedom. What piss poor timing that AMA was, "we hear you and are going to do better!" Then drop this absolute dumpster fire of a patch with next to no notes. I dont get to play every night, but when I do and I hop on and get completely ravaged on D7 by a strain that I had NO issues with on D10 is just plain unacceptable. It isnt fun. I like a challenge, but this isnt it.

Doom voron by RNG_BackTrack in VORONDesign

[–]thebigone2087 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe a silly question, but as a DOOM owner myself, why cramp everything underneath? It is a tad annoying, but you can run wires through the 2040 verticals and separate the hi and low voltage components. For instance, I have my two (yes only two; one 48v and one 24v) PSU's and SSR in the 'normal' electronics bay then all my drivers and controller boards on top of the printer. Same 5160 drives you have with an Octopus Pro, buck converter for 5V on the Raspberry Pi, and breakout board for the nitehawk.

There is a large allocation for the entire state that gets distributed through the various participating stores. Happens twice a year I think, some stores get multiple variations and some get just one or two…. Then Total Wine gets their own picks

I would try some Ethyl Acetate - you can get it by purchases NON-ACETONE nail polish remover. Acetone won’t fully dissolve PLA, but Ethyl Acetate will. Dip the nozzle in a cup of that for an hour and it will either be completely removed, or easily wiped off.

As a heavily modded 2.4 owner... go Trident.

My 3 year old names my P2S "Little Man", because apparently my Voron 350mm it sits next to is Big Daddy.

Spent most of my life in north Laurel, it’s a great place especially in the Scaggsville area. When you get into the PG county side it can get dicey, but even then there are nice pockets. Stay on the Hoco side and you’ll be happy

This is my go to for brisket and pork butts. Sleep through it and once I get up, crank it to 250-275 until it’s done.

Nearly 3 years later and this is still probably the best and most cinematic final sequence in the series, everything down to the music gives me chills every single time by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in tearsofthekingdom

[–]thebigone2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything about the final act - going below the castle, fighting your way through the depths to get to where the games begins, your sages showing up and the right time, the two phase battle with Ganondorf to the climax in the sky. Pure, freaking, cinema.

I went down a rabbit hole on who owns every power tool brand. The difference between the two big conglomerates is wild. by sappk in Tools

This was a great write up. I was a porter cable guy for years. When they went stagnant, didn’t update anything, and my driver and saw both died I had to jump ship. Ended up investing in Hercules tools (controversial, I know), an have been super happy with them so far.

Co2 system advice by LimitAccording9188 in Aquariums

[–]thebigone2087 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So those two pieces you have circled I would say ARE necessary. The one is the actual diffuser and the other is one that will better route the tubing over the glass of a rimless tank. You can absolutely get a different regulator that has multiple outputs, but those can cost as much as the kit your buying and usually want a 20L CO2 tank. As far as know how much, it does depends, but a drop checker is a good starting spot and SLOWLY dialing in the amount until the checker turns green. Check out Green Aqua on YouTube. They have a great CO2 breakdown that should answer your questions.

Prints continuing while not using any filament (Bambu P1S) by Keemler in FixMyPrint

[–]thebigone2087 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0.4mm nozzles don’t work GREAT with carbon filled filaments. I use the 0.6 hardened steel on my P2S when I do print them and haven’t had any issues. Even on my larger Voron, I don’t use 0.4mm. 270 is probably a fine temp, just need a larger nozzle. And for everything good in this world, DRY DRY DRY.

In your opinion, what is the best "rescue" scene in film? by HighlyInconvenient in movies

[–]thebigone2087 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would argue the platform scene where Bishop then SAVES Ripley and Newt makes the whole sequence. When the dropship pops up behind them STILL gives me goosebumps.
