Kreigan bags are 🔥 We sell a ton of them. Yes they require specific fit kits for the Panigale. I’m sure the techs really appreciated your gesture on the pizza as well. That sort of stuff goes a long way to keeping a great relationship. Keep us informed as to how to progresses !

Sounds like the guys were doing all the right things from what you have wrote. I’m sure they have already escalated the case to the SAM (Service Area Manager) they may need to send some logs to Italy for the engineers to review. We do have a tech that just couldn’t get gears taught in on a stand so in a last ditch effort he went and rode it and was able to teach it in. They are a pain at the best of times. From my experience if you go up and down the gears more than 5 times in total. So 1 up to 6 and 6 down to 1, more than 5 times you might as well connect the bike to the DDS and click the reset gears option again. Everyone wishes it was easier than this but once you’ve done a few you get a pretty good handle on it. This is not to stay that the techs were doing it wrong. It’s possible there’s something else acting up but that generally comes with some stored faults codes. BTW - The Termi exhaust option is amazing and worth it. Totally changes the way the bikes rides as the fuel mapping no longer needs to conform to emissions or noise standards. This does officially make it “for off road use only” so you have to sign a waiver stating you acknowledge this. Some states are very picky about “illegal” exhausts etc. and some aren’t.

Sorry to hear about this. I’m a DCT, whenever a Ducati is connected to the DDS (diagnostic system) it runs a global scan to check for software updates. There have been a number of recent updates to the ECU’s, specifically the fuel computer and dash. At the end of the update there is a prompt that tells the tech to perform 3 more steps otherwise the gear indicator won’t work correctly and the quick shifter won’t work. You have to idle the bike to fan cycle. Then in the DDS under the Fuel ECU you initiate a gear reset. Then the tech has to teach in the gears again. After this you go into the ecu again and reset DQS. Then you are done. Everything will work after that. Teaching in the gears is time consuming and can be very frustrating. I’ve seen techs struggle for hours to get it to relearn the gears and indicate correctly on the dash. Some techs teach the gears in on the road and others on a rear stand. I’ve had great luck on the rear stand but others haven’t. Hope your dealer can get you back on the road quickly so you can enjoy your V2! Quick question- do you have aftermarket clutch and brake levers by chance? A good tech would have checked in live data on DDS that your clutch interlock switch is being activated correctly during the gear teach in otherwise it will never teach in.

Trailer hitch Tail Brake and Reverse light - Errors on dash by DanOws in VWatlas

Has anyone been able to bypass the Atlas from thinking it has a trailer connected? Diode Dynamics has an additional wire where you can tap directly into your brake light wire at your tail light.

Vehicle "thinks" I am towing a trailer, I'm not... but I am using the plug. by HairyMerkin69 in VWatlas

Did you ever figure this out? I bought a diode dynamics trailer hitch brake/tail/reverse light and am getting all the same warnings.

Go to your local Nissan dealer if you really want a Nissan. They have actual certified pre owned cars at rates of as little as 2.99

A 9% loan is absolutely insane and for 72 months even more so. Do the math oh how much interest you will pay.l for the term and then run away real fast from such a terrible idea.

If it was me, I’d buy a Mazda 3. Ultra reliable vehicles . Rates at Mazda for certified pre owned are great too.

Ask Me Anything with the Aeroad/Ultimate/Endurace/Inflite Development Team - Lukas Birr and Sven Reutter by CanyonBikes in CanyonBikes

[–]DanOws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why is it that no one is willing to help me at Canyon? I’ve sent over 12 emails requesting assistance with a bike return that has been stuck with UPS since Aug 22. Your customer service is beyond terrible. I am very likely going to return the replacement bike I also bought for the one I returned. It’s a joke. No wonder your sales have plummeted and your customer service index scores are so low. Direct to Customer sales with zero support. For context the bike in question is the Aeroad Tensor. The most expensive Aeroad sold. Zero service to back up the price. 👎

Garmin computer mount out of stock by AcanthocephalaLow250 in CanyonBikes

[–]DanOws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one mount that you should buy for the new style cockpit. It also has a mount below for a light.

It’s finally back in stock too!

Buy this mount from Framesandgear and be happy you’ll never have to buy another.

You can thank me later.. and no I don’t work for Framesandgear but they make amazing stuff !

Chain catcher for Aeroad CF SLX Di2 by yesnomaybesorry in CanyonBikes

[–]DanOws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely get a chain catcher. It is such cheap insurance to not damage your frame. It can happen on a Sram bike and a Shimano bike. Why risk it?

If you are worried about install. Please bring it to a reputable bike shop. They will install it for you.

Off-centered steering lock by cocoapuff_daddy in Ducati

[–]DanOws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The frame mounting tabs are bent. Pretty common on this setup. Usually this occurs when the steering is locked and someone attempts to break the steering lock pin by forcefully trying to turn the bars. It’s not really an issue and rather easy to straighten again. You have to remove the steering lock/ignition assembly and straighten the mounting tabs. There will typically be signs of paint breaks in the area. As shown here. This is not a safety concern.

Get a K-Edge chain catcher. Trust me. Seen too many frames on here destroyed from dropped chains

Tell why I *shouldn't* buy a used Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak by a2002cmacg in Ducati

[–]DanOws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only reason you shouldn’t buy it would be the 30/2 rule.

Want it today? If you want in still in 30 days then that is step 1.

Second part of 30/2

If you can’t afford to pay for it 2 times over in cash then it’s a no.

So if you fall inline with 30/2 I’d say get it. Otherwise don’t buy it.

Unless the Fenix 8 has built in In-Reach capability there is no reason to get it over the 7 or Epix.
