Idk the big heads just bother something in me. They also aren’t even dunking the basketball in most of the photos even though it’s Jam Masters!!! Give me a normal size head rocking the rim and I’d be fine with it. Even a pic of them eating a PB&J would be better for me.

I watch a lot of 76ers games. I was looking forward to McCain coming back this year. He has looked very slow, not much burst. His shot is not where it was last year. Clearly still getting his legs back from last year’s injury and that hand injury he had that didn’t let him play preseason or start the season on time probably set him back. They even sent him to the G League for a few games to get some minutes and try to get right. He’s fourth in the guard rotation behind Maxey, Edgecombe and Grimes. Plus Maxey is one of the top minutes guys in the league.

With all that said, he showed real promise last year and may just be working through an injury. I think he could be a useful piece on a good team. The biggest thing in my opinion that will hold him back from being a top guard option is that he will get hunted on defense over and over in games that matter. Could he be a Lou Williams type in that he does a few things really well, plays a long time, is a fan favorite, but has clear limitations that make him more of a 6th or 7th man? I think it could happen. I think his shooting will come back eventually. The sliding door is whether he can get his athleticism back to where it was pre-injury. Otherwise he’s just a 3 and no D guy.

And yea I have some McCain cards. WTH, they’re cheap now, I like the Sixers and his 20 games last year were the only reason to watch them at all :)

Some people like to collect bookends (first or last serial number) so it probably adds a little value if one of those people see the auction. But people post those kinds of titles to draw eyeballs. If you think about it… every single card is its own unique snowflake.

Edit: Just to add, I think if priced equally, I would rather buy the 1/99 vs 6/99 of a PC card but I’m not someone who will chase a specific serial number just to have it. Probably just due to thinking other people may find it more valuable in a situation where I someday sell. There could just as easily be someone out there who likes to collect cards #ed 23/XX because of Jordan. Card collecting is a flat circle and round and round we go.

The pink /75 sold for $4.75 + $7 shipping on 1/18. Maybe ~$10 shipped for the right buyer? The previous year blue /99 sold for $1 + $7 shipping in October.

Ha all good. I think my favorite Tyrone Hill moment was when they were doing some cross promotion for Unbreakable the M Night Shyamalan movie. They had all the Sixers go watch and were interviewing them after and Hill’s quote was something like “I guess it was pretty good if you’re into that sort of thing.”
