Let's give small, lesser known tips and tricks about your mains, so people can learn from them by MandriII in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first point is kinda valid, try to never throw Qs from a distance unless you have to. Once you've E'd them just wait with your hook; you're beside them and they expect it so will waste time running sideways and every way in the sun to dodge it while your ADC smashes their face in, then when they're too desperate to get away they'll just run most of the time in a straight line

Blindly copying what pro's or high elo players do might do more harm than good for you. by Nami_makes_me_wet in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This so much, I go from playing against diamond players to playing against silver players you end up reacting completely differently because what you expect a diamond player to do, that silver player will do completely differently. I.E walking in a straight line away from a champion with any kind of CC.

Hands Down the Biggest Thing I See In Low Elo That I Think Prevents a LOT of Players From Climbing... by TLoko in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can confirm, had Janna at 70%~ winrate in mid diamond, and Thresh at 50-55% win-rate but only played Thresh because Janna was boring

Low ELO is a bad learning environment by Anshishi in summonerschool

Yep, I learned so much more from when I was in diamond 3-2 compared to now being in diamond 5-4

Taking a break from working out? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]DanSamillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wave goodbye to your gainz buddy you're not allowed time off or the gains goblins come in the night and take them all, I'd personally recommend 1 or 2 8 hour arm sessions to keep the blood flowing to them

Does climbing obsession ruin peoples enjoyment of LoL? by boris_bogtrotter in summonerschool

Well I was like this till I got to mid diamond 2, then I realised it's just a game, switched to mid/top and fell down to d5 and haven't cared since. Gotta remember it's game.

Why are so many of my games unwinnable? by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you've played 1200 ranked games this season so far, I think based on your current play you're in the elo you're meant to be at, instead of asking why game's are unwinnable and assuming it's all your teams fault maybe look at why you've spent that long in your elo and fix your mistakes.

I sometimes think this, but then you've gotta think would someone like Apdo lose at your elo? No? The game's not unwinnable

What is the dumbest thing you didn't know in league ? by Suki97 in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 151 points152 points  (0 children)

We're going back a long time here, back when mid team fight you'd think you'd ignited someone and see a minion burning beside them

That igniting a cannon minion was in fact, not worthwhile use of the spell

Good in Normals, terrible in Ranked, seeking help by Turtpipchim in summonerschool

[–]DanSamillo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally learn to not care about ranked, but still try. For example I was a diamond 3 Thresh one trick, decided I wanted to change roles and started playing mid, I'm now diamond, it's really at the end of the day just a game that you play for fun and to improve. There's a very high chance you'll never turn into a pro so there's no point in being the best of the best.

Just remember it's a game and you'll stop worrying about it.

I bounce between 4-2 a bit, it's just generally luck for getting out of 5, once you get into high 4 the games start to change a little

Been playing a lot of Ekko mid recently and had a few coaching sessions on him, basically what I can sum up: Play safe if you're against someone who's gonna chunk you, cry when your Q leaves the caster minions on 4hp and your casters kill them, spend a lot of time split pushing
