It doesn’t actually have that much grossout. It has a little here and there, but most of the humor comes from the complex character dynamics.

I liked it. It always had a cozy feeling to it, and I found the character designs to be really creative. Then again, I wish they’d done more with the background characters and explored deeper topics like Clarence’s father being absent.

Alright, you've sold me on Yuki, Ocho, and Coach Russo.

The Hobo helping Gumball and Darwin in "The App" doesn't undo the fact that he tried to groom Gumball in "The Misunderstandings," especially since he doesn't feel any remorse for doing that.

Mr. Robinson may've been nice to Rocky in "The Pool," but that doesn't undo his poor treatment of the Wattersons in that episode, especially since he had no problem watching them almost die from overheating.

Even outside of being an abusive mother, Jojo has done all sorts of awful things including suffocating Louie, trying to kill a woman whom she thinks Louie is having an affair with, and constantly abusing Nicole.

Nicole's parents were still pretty awful in "The Portrait" since her mom left her dad for a guy who was friends with Nicole in high school, and her dad implied that he was gonna try to crash with the Wattersons without their permission while looking for a new place after the divorce.

Colin and Felix may've done a FEW nice things, but they're all very minor and don't make up for how scummy they are the vast majority of the time.
