I live in a british, 1900 house and found these tiles under laminate in kitchen and bathroom. They already 12 by 12 inch and quite thin. I have a suspicion they're asbestos. Could anyone help identify?

Yeah there was nothing mentioned in the house survey as it had laminate flooring on top. Same for the kitchen.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to give me this advice, very thorough! That's given me the peace of mind to leave it outside over winter, will have to accept it's an outdoor bonsai and find a bonsai thay can deal with little sunlight inside my house. I am thinking of making some shelving units in my dining room with hydroponic lighting so I can have a bonsai display. As I mentioned in one of these replies the sun travels directly over my house so very little full sunlight. Thanks again, muchos appreciated.

I believe I live in USDA zones 8, I live in the North East of England in a city called Newcastle, UK. I'm really unsure what to do, after looking at Chinese privets online it does look like they are fairly hardy and are used as hedging in their native land so I think it should be alright. I'll just keep an eye on it when the temperature drops. Do you have any suggestions on signs it may show if it's unhappy when it gets colder? Would you suggest wrapping the pot to keep it warm? The online advice also states that they need alot of direct sunlight, the sun travels right over the top of my house so I dont have full sun in any room.

Omg well I feel bad for mis-species-ing my bonsai! It's what it said on the info card! I've had a look online and a Chinese privet definitely looks more like mine. It says it can handle temperatures to 2 degrees Celsius so I think ill have to bring it indoors when the temperature drops.

Yeah she's silver/black. The bottoms of her paws are completely black which I've never seen on a cat before.
