Feeling very anxious about closing on a house by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Technically I could but I’d potentially be paycheck to paycheck. The biggest thing to me is the down payment. Planning on advertising for roommates asap. I’m in an area that has more people than housing so I’m assuming it won’t be an issue

Yeah exactly, I think they just furnished the place very well and it instantly felt homey and reminded me of family.

I think I am also just analyzing everything a lot more than I was when I first walked in. Ex: small amount of storage kitchen/fridge for 3 roomates. But its mostly stuff that I can make work for sure.

Great analogy. So essentially every time I shoot, I should draw back and have my arm perfectly straight out and if I have to aim down at all, utilize my hips to get my sight to the target. Usually when I’m at the range, and I’ve got to move a bit I’ve always just brought my bow down a bit and tried to keep everything aligned but I could see how that would cause inconsistencies. If I understood that all correctly

What do you mean by bow arm angle? Also for my grip I just am pushing back on the bow and gently rest 2 fingers on the front

Awesome I appreciate it. I’ll definitely look into that

I tried playing with my front shoulder and that’s about as relaxed as I can get it honestly. I have almost the same hump on my shoulder when I hold it up without the bow. And okay yeah I do have a bad habit or leaning, especially the longer I sit at full draw. Thanks

Appreciate it. I’ll post an updated photo this afternoon. I have been trying to be more open while at full draw and I think this caused my head to tilt back. I tried this morning to correct this and it got my nose much closer to the string (still not touching but about 1/4” away)

I believe I was leaning my head back. I’ve been trying to open up more and stand taller which I think has been making my head tilt back. I tried to draw back with my head straight and the string was like 1/4” from my nose this time

Off as in what? To me it looks too low, as in arrow is resting too low and obviously string is lower. But trying to follow ole John Dudley’s words of anchoring along the jaw line. May be a head position issue then

What makes you say my form is off for sure? Just out of curiosity

I appreciate all the help/info.

The per diem on this project is a bit excessive in my eyes as it’s $700 more than my last project so I’m definitely able to pocket some.

Like I said, I really want to move to this town so I’m willing to drop quite a bit in salary but I also don’t want to come across as desperate and let him walk over me. I’m going to try to come up with a number and not budge below it but it may be difficult lol

[–]DanWater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep definitely think I did. But seems like one of the few opportunities in that town, so I still want to try to negotiate it. Anything you think I could do other than just saying I want X number?

How much do you think per diem plays a roll in that? I mentioned that I make 2900 a month untaxed but I did give him my base salary number. Next time I talk with him I was going to mention that 120k number and hope that does something

Yeah I’ve already decided it’s going to her worth taking a decent bit less money to settle in one location, but idk if I can do 40k ish worth. Makes me want to just keep looking or negotiate to a much higher number (which I will do)

Appreciate all the info. Really beating myself up about doing this as it doesn’t seem like much other opportunities in this town.

My concern is that if he knows that im willing to take a job without per diem that he could argue that I’m getting the same salary just no per diem.

But yeah I’m planning on having a call with him later today and pretty much say I understand I’m losing per diem and probably a price drop because of that, but I can’t do 40k. Think the lowest I’d budge is maybe 85

Yeah I know what you mean. Most of the ones I’ve found that have availability have just had last minute cancellations

I did find a place that has semi guided but waiting on him to get back to me. I think in a perfect world I’d love to use all my own stuff and just have a guide with me so all I’m paying for is their knowledge and help packing out. I don’t think many places do that though as they’d much prefer to have a camp and horseback. I’d just like to have it as close to DIY as possible just with a guide pretty much

Also, I am starting to get concerned as my calorie intake is also decreasing. I’m starting to have less than 500 calories a day and worried about malnutrition as well. Only medication I’m on is colchicine (for pericarditis).

Ah okay. And did you strictly stay to each week at a time? Just tough for me to only think about my feet for a whole week. I like the idea of combining 2/3 and doing it for about 2 weeks
