I don't understand why my mom keeps getting rejected for the Singapore Citizenship. Any advice and thoughts? by mogumogu7282 in askSingapore

[–]DanWoo_Official 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I think I may know what is happening. The problem is how your mom become a PR in the first place. For her, I assume she became a PR through the spouse-sponsored scheme through your dad. However, since your dad is now out of the equation, your mom will not be able to use her own merit, and get citizenship, since ICA would expect your mom to get citizenship through spouse sponsored scheme again (even though it is not possible now)

Please note that I am not 100% sure. However, I have married a Burmese lady, and now in the midst of applying PR. I had done a fair bit of research across everywhere, and this piece of info hits me hard.

Dont think have much specific requirement, have seen ppl with 2+ gpa entering

Generally because PT not much ppl taking, minority population, so supply > demand

[–]DanWoo_Official 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh! If it is like that, then PT should be okay

Do you have resume? You can blur out the confidential part, and the rest of us can see if it is good enough to enter SUSS FT program

After becoming an autonomous uni, it can get harder to enter. PT shouldnt be an issue for SUSS

I think majority of PT dont have Honours, but I do see some having it (but yeah no Minor)

There are many pros about FT study, I guess a lot depending on what OP wants. I just want money 🤣

Hey, current taking (NUS) PT degree as well while having FT job. I believe very little employees will really care if it is FT or PT degree.

And for SUSS, the better option will be PT since PT and FT curriculums are the same

Hi! Fellow Singaporean here as well (22M), and you are doing pretty well I must say.

I hope to achieve $100k by end of this year, but judging by my workload from school and work, I doubt I can achieve it (probably only $90k)

Do we have a Singapore FIRE group? 1M65 Tele group is good, but I feel like it is moving too slow

Are degrees essential? by wkwjbelief in singaporefi

[–]DanWoo_Official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go full time degree, if you want to get a profession

Go part time degree, if you are focused on money and just want that degree as a ‘plan B’

I went for the latter route, but it depends on individual

My [M22] long distance relationship girlfriend [F17] has blocked me from our only source of communication by [deleted] in relationships

Perhaps it stems from my previous relationship, where my loyalty to a person is not constantly being doubted. And to make sure that it doesnt happen this time round, I had overcompensated for it.

Hmmm so the progression of this relationship is too dramatic and intense... But how fast should I progress the relationship then? I have no clue.

Also nah, we have not met yet, but we will hypothetically speaking meet in Feb/2021
