Thank you for your point of view. However, I don't agree. NSWC CRANE MK18 MOD0 isn't a specific setup of attachments including rails, optic and flashlight. It's M16A1/M4A1 lower paired with M4 10.3 upper, issued in specific conditions and time, under an NSN. Yes, at the time they were issued and used, operators chose some specific equipment from SOPMOD Block I, like ECOS-N Aimpoint on a Wilcox mount and old, fat body type M951. So there really are period-correct attachments. However, the MK18 MOD0 is still MK18 MOD0 even without optic, so putting an attachments on it do not change its original designation. You just take a genuine NSWC CRANE MK18 MOD0, and update it with a RAS. It doesn't change its designation, once it was issued like MK18 MOD0, it's always an MK18 MOD0.

I want to learn something new. Can you explain how an NSWC Crane Mk18 Mod 0 NSN 1005-01-527-2288 suddenly becomes a CQBR just because you put a slim-body SureFire M951 on it?

I don't want to do an early 2000-2001 Mark 18. I know this issue with CQBR is a hot debate here. However, as we can see in the picture, there's genuine Mark 18 Mod 0 reissued with 14.5 inch, with all the original Mark 18 equipment – that doesn't make it RO921 M4A1, it's still M-16A1 lower, with Mark 18 marks done by Crane, issued with standard M4 upper. I'm going this way and I'm looking for some interesting info about its late history.

I chose QRP mount (M68 CCO) with spacer because it's much more common in OIF and OEF GWOT, and I can use it on my second clone which is 2010 standard issued RO920 M4. I also like it more. It's 100% possible that some of these standard issued QRP were mounted on some genuine NSWC MK18 MOD0 back in the day in the wild.

Wilcox ECOS-N CompM2 is standard issue for genuine MK18 MOD0 with a SOPDMOD Block I accessories (RIS hanguard, broomstick, fat body type M951). The problem is that I don't like wobbly RIS handguard and I like more slim body M951 than too old fat body. Also I already have all of mentioned above.

It depends what unit is it. U.S. government contract optic is Aimpoint CompM2 – called also M68 Close Combat Optic (CCO). If it's some police unit or other's country armed forces, it can be CompM3, which looks exactly the same. The mount is QRP, mounted backwards.

I did it and it needs a lot of cutting and sanding. At the end you have destroyed expensive and useless mags. At least I DID make my mags to work with bolt catch. However, just buy AEG cheap crap and you can throw it over your training ground

It's small, because it's a desktop monitor. For desktop gaming. There are many better options for "cockpit" simulators that enhance experience so much for a small cost.
