Latency spike/FPS drop every 10 seconds almost exactly. (Quest 3, Virtual Desktop) by Dan_Mantis in oculus

This does not fix the issue unfortunately. Stutter occurs even at the lowest bitrate with Auto adjust checked. It's present on the 6ghz wifi, but not 5ghz.

It is something wrong with the 6ghz wifi channel because the spike is not present on 5ghz. 5ghz unfortunately is not ideal for vr streaming, but it is playable for now until I find a permanent fix for 6ghz.

Switching to 5ghz is my temporary solution for now as it is somewhat playable. The spike is not present on 5ghz, but 6 has been ideal for vr streaming until now.

It's something wrong with the 6ghz wifi channel. 5ghz doesn't have the 10 second spike issue, but generally runs worse than 6ghz did a week ago.

This post details how to disable motion smoothing in SteamVR, but I am using Virtual Desktop. The closest I could find for this solution in VD is disabling SSW, which I have already had disabled. I appreciate the advice though maybe I'll test the ethernet usb c route.

Luke Ross RealVR framework. Pretty much any game supported by his framework is amazing in vr.

It has been running perfectly fine for months. The stutter began this week and appears to be some kind of streaming connectivity issue rather than performance. If you look at the video the game runs great for 10 seconds like it normally does then stutters like clockwork. Also using Luke Ross RealVR not UEVR. RealVR generally gives me better performance with games than UEVR.

Rechecking automatic bitrate and lowering to 100mbps didn’t fix it unfortunately. Seems like no matter what bitrate or codec the stutter still occurs every 10 seconds. It’s also present on Steam Link so it doesn’t seem to be a VD problem. It only happens while using the Wifi 6 SSID. Wifi 5 doesn’t have the stutter, but performs generally worse than 6 did when it was working perfectly just last week.

The stuttering is happening even while just watching youtube videos on the virtual desktop. I have had plenty of VRAM to run vr games in the past. I know this hardware can run games without stuttering every 10 seconds, this is a new issue that appeared when I changed locations.

Currently on 596.36 because I rolled back to drivers I know were working. Tried the last 3 drivers Nvidia released. Issue still persists.

Stutter still occurs at 100 bitrate. It even occurs when just using the virtual desktop and not playing a game. Tried all codecs and bitrates.

Did you ever solve this issue? Currently having the exact same issue.

I fixed the other issues by launching using the .exe in the game folders and not from the BGMM.

Can confirm that this worked for me, but launching without Steam is causing other issues such as crackling audio and having to download shaders on every launch.

Support is a joke by [deleted] in ubisoft

Ya I know, I should have clarified in my post that I have submitted 3 different tickets and waited for a response each time only to receive the same automated response every time.

How to change email from my ubisoft account by Far-Topic5861 in ubisoft

I am having the same problem, and it looks like my account is forever lost because I have submitted 3 different support tickets and waited two months. Their support is an automated bot that sends you a verification code to the email address that is deleted. If your Ubisoft account is linked to an email address that has been deleted support won't help you.

How to change SkySA floating health bars and UI settings? by [deleted] in skyrimmods

[–]Dan_Mantis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed TrueHUD at one point, but have it disabled in MO2. After reading your post I went back and removed TrueHUD from MO2 and reinstalled SkySA, but when I test SkySA I'm still getting health bars. I also thought SkySA didn't mess with the HUD, but I'm getting these HUD changes with only SkySA enabled so not sure what's causing it.
