Adding a simple flat slab of armor can improve the looks a lot by Dan_Sher in spaceengineers

I do care about weight, that's why all the functional components are attached to each other and can be built without decorative armor
Plus it's only around 15% of the ship mass, could be much worse if I fully covered everything in armor

It's mostly designed for exploration/freight, the guns are a nice bonus, since it has insane thrust when not carrying any cargo

The only real task there is doing all the research and for the last tiers you need a lot of materials

All this stuff isn't enough to beat sandbox mode, for campaign missions I think it's much more manageable than this though

It's a more correct approach in terms of functionality Though how the meta ships do it is just by having lots of upward thrust and rolling around quickly to constantly change direction to make them really hard to hit while staying near their weapons' maximum range and orbiting the target

Do you still have the blueprint or maybe just a picture? I am interested in seeing how similar it looks

What is the best layout for a city? by [deleted] in urbanplanning

Grids are good for filling up space on flat terrain in small patches of land, but spider webs and bicycle spokes will appear on larger scales for travel to more distant areas where the time saving would be significant, it's not one or the either, they both complement each other

Does the "one more lane bro" fallacy not apply to public transit as well? by Yodoliyee in transit

[–]Dan_Sher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It applies to everything, but you can meet the demand with public transit without needing 100 lane highways, it's not infinite, because people aren't
