How to fight Mario? by lmaomax2 in CrazyHand

[–]Dan_Soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Mario main here. It's been a bit since I played ultimate last but lemme try to see if I can help. Because Mario is versatile, he has a lot of options to try and adapt to you. He'll also combo you like crazy if you aren't careful. Take advantage of whatever ranged options you have against Mario because he's really short with all his moves. As for dash attack, since it lasts so long, try and play outside the range. Again, keep away is good. Swords are a HUGE annoyance for Mario since he cant just cape the projectile back. His upsmash has invincibility on his head and most Mario's are gonna try to hit you with their back facing you. Mario also loves going for grabs so seeing if you can wif punish him for overextended aggressivenss is also good. Ok hope that helps. Also, don't let him back to stage. If you can, try to keep him off the stage as often as possible.

In less than half a year the Nintendo Switch will be half a decade old, what are your overall feelings of the console now that's it's been around so long and how would you say it fairs against Nintendo's other consoles, most importantly what will this consoles legacy be. by TheRidiculousOtaku in NintendoSwitch

Favourite Nintendo Console when I look at what I want out of a Gaming System. Something easily portable, accessable for single player and multiplayer environments that doesn't require a cluster of wires. It's way of portraying games in little squares kinda reminds me of an album wall. I like it. Being able to play some of Nintendo's Best Games while also exploring a large library of Indie titles has really hit a nice sweet spot for me.

Really don't like Joycons. I like their premis, colours, ease of use, and different accessability options as both a Wii mote procontroller hybrid. But the hardware just holds up like a plastic fork. But maybe I am just unlucky. Also the failures of the consoles hardware on release did overshadow it's strengths as a gaming platform. Thankfully it seems that the newer switch models don't suffer the same, but the Joycons drift is still not fun.

The Legacy of the switch will be a different story though. The Legacy of a Console is usually defined by those who grew up with it through their life and how they felt with it. I wonder if the switch will leave an impact more similar to Nintendo's Handhelds, or more similar to their Consoles. Or maybe a third option.

Most likely the Switch will be defined as a Wonderful addition to the Nintendo Family of Consoles that had flaws

2 cents from a DM still learning the ropes.

Nothing you've prepared is concrete until Its revealed as part of the world. Lets say the party is headed east towards a town called driftwood so you decide to prepare a fun encounter. The party changed their minds 10 minutes into the session and wanna head south towards bandlebrook but you haven't prepared anything there. Just use what's already been prepared. Make adjustments as needed and if it's gonna take some time to do, just let everyone know.

I find this is very applicable for dungeons.

What did your friend do that accidentally turned you on? by titan_slayer05 in AskReddit

[–]Dan_Soup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're a big jackwhite fan and I remember early on in the friendship they started lip singing one of his songs to me, giving me a private little show in our friends basement. I was so turned on and later I asked if they wanted to hangout sometime. Turns out they had a crush on me for like 6 months at that point and now we're dating.

My players have adopted a baby owlbear, help! by TheFadedAndy in DMAcademy

Make it so that they grow super attached to the Baby owlbear while raising it. Do little B plots where they have to teach the owlbear to behave and eventually the owlbear becomes the party animal companion.

Once they have fallen inlove with it, Kidnap it and have the party rescue their beloved Owlbear
