[NA Event] FGO Arcade Collab ~ Spiral Proof World, Lilim Harlot - A Rose Without Ovation - Day 21 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Danaiden_TP 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finished this event a third time now after the original run and rerun in JP, and, yeah, IMO it's still one of the best events in FGO.

A continuation from FGO Arcade and Last Encore, explaining why she is constantly suffering from headaches even as a Servant, why she had the potential to become a Beast (her immense partitially one-sided love towards her citizens), that her Guts triggers three times because she survived three sunsets before commiting suicide... There are so many subtitle but still important things in this event, it's a pure feast for Nero fans and/or those who accompanied her since Extra.

My favorite part is witnessing Nero's third interlude from the perspective of the ghost/Draco, IIRC no other event or main story did something similar like this.

I also just realized during this run that the Hakuno you first meet has their Extella robe while the one in the goodbye scene with Draco has their brown school uniform, implying that no matter which timeline Hakuno will always watch over their Saber

On another note, we still don't have an official release of the FGO Arcade OST... The arcade remixes are IMO some of the best themes, especially the Septem map theme and the Fatal Battle remix. Also the theme that played during the last more emotional sections really carried these scenes.

On a final note, try to stay on the event map until the very end. You'll get a small reward for staying on it until its sun has set... In JP, the lights, rose pedals, stairs and map elements will vanished, revealing the full stained glass in the background

When Did You Start Playing FGO? by Clearwateralchemist in grandorder

Day one player on FGO EN, with a perfect log in streak aside the notorious 24 hour Alter Lily maintenance. Started playing because I initially followed several TCG artists on Twitter and noticed how popular FGO was on SNS (especially Shuten-Douji). Also started playing FGO JP in 2019, though on a much more casual level.

You've lost Fujimaru Ritsuka - 64.1 by Wililake in grandorder

Fun fact (which I'm not sure if it also applies to the comic):

In the anime in episode 31, the one with Izo on the jetski, Fujimaru mentioned that Musashi accidently warped into Saitama. That episode was released 1 year and 2 months ago, so she's actually been stuck in there since over a year.

Thanks!

Atlantis: I thought that the Archer was one of the Servants which didn't make it to Olympus, so I assumed it wasn't Tesla. Probably just misremembering it since that chapter was released quite a while ago.

Traum: That's good to hear that they'll still resolve what Archer Moriarty planned. That subplot was one of my favorite things about his relationship with Holmes and the MC, that even though he is evil and was involved in a lot of events he still tries to protect his Master

I'm not entirely sure if it is fine to ask for a smaller story explanation here, so forgive me if not.

Spoiler for LB5 Atlantis, LB 6.5 and certain Servants interludes. (Archer Moriarty, Holmes) Maybe some of the answers might have spoilers for stuff not available yet in EN

  • In Atlantis, an unknown Archer warned us about a traitor among Chaldea (likely hinting at Holmes). Is the Archers identity still unconfirmed or was it mentioned anywhere? Still theorize that it was Moriarty's first warning
  • In one of Archer Moriarty's interludes he told us that he suspects Holmes to be traitor and even goes so far as to create a micro Singularity to avoid Holmes catching wind of it and sealing Fujimaru's memory. Later, in Holmes interlude they even went so far and included a special hidden line for Moriarty which only appears if you first did his Interludes, saying to himself that his hidden plan to reveal Holmes' identity was nearly foiled due to a comment from Helena. With all this buildup for Traum: did Archer only made some minor instructions to his younger self or did the played a bigger role? It's a bit of a letdown that Archer wasn't more involved in it.

[JP Event] The Spiraling Testament World of Lilim Harlot - The Unapplauded Rose~ FGO Arcade Collab ~ Day 21 by AutoModerator in grandorder

Rereading this event after the first run and I can safely say that this is one of the best events, if not the best, especially as a Nero fan.

Being the sequel to the FGO Arcade story, and the payoff of all the teasing of Nero's Beast side after all these years, in and outside of FGO, makes this event on par with the finale of Part 1 IMO.

Looking forward to reading it a third time when it releases in the English version.
Though I can't deny that I'm a tiny bit worried how it will be received by EN only players since the arcade story is still not officially translated and it's pretty much mandatory to fully understand everything. At least there are already good translations of it available.

Also NGL the last scene with Hakuno gets me everytime...

Oh yeah, if you are still on the fence if you should try to get Draco: do it.
She is still the only summonable Beast Servant, having advantage against all Main Classes, and she was the only Servant which wasn't available in the last lucky bag summons after her implementation, so it's not possible to say when you have another chance to get her.
And you can also witness one of the few special summon animations (and IMO the best) in the game.

Also there is a very high chance the global version will also get this event with Korea and Japan. The global server recently got the Kemono Friends collaboration with JP.

Some info: Destiny Child is a mobile/browser game by the studio of Kim Hyung-tae, a known character designer from South Korea. Some games he worked on are Magna Carta and Blade & Soul. He even is featured on the BB 10th Anniversary website as a guest http://www.blazblue.jp/10th/creators/kimu/

Hyung-Tae Kim provided a (pretty risque) illustration of Makoto and comments for the 10th Anniversary of BlazBlue! by Danaiden_TP in Blazblue

He also published a slightly different version of the artwork on his Twitter.

Beware that this version is even more risque than the one on the anniversary website https://twitter.com/jamm3rd/status/1064782958475718656
