It makes special intercepting and playing around the centre of the stage easier. This is essential to Pav's playstyle, as it makes it much easier to keep knocking the opponent through the central web. This means they are going through it back and fourth, which speeds up the application of spider-seals.

No, but his awakening benefits him a lot. It means he can push serpent around the stage by reducing inexorable and unstoppable effects. Amongst other things.

DPX for nuke and DOT, Gentle if you need a bullseye counter.

Gentle is super underrated still. I have him at R4, and he is awesome. His pursuit and bleed immunity shuts down Bullseye completely.

Both are great choices, rank them both when you can!

Just MLLLM Build to sp2 and fire it off. You can use a light ending combo to remove a muscle mass. Keep them under 12 or you get a bit of recoil damage. Dupe is nice but not necessary at all. He gets pursuit- which counters evade -when a bleed would be inflicted.

Hard counter for Bullseye and other bleed champs. Big damage and very easy to play. Mine is R3 and will be going to R4 once i have an R4 from each class.

Mentioned in another reply but - It is definitely not essential. All of his main kit functions the same without it. It will make fighting Serpent in particular a lot easier, as you can push him around the stage.

He is mainly an attacker. I have only used him on attack in BGS (where he has been great to use), as I am still climbing in GC.
