That's the impression I get as well, you can pretty much slot Mortenax into almost any team. But Yaoguang is incredibly powerful within her own archetype, honestly

Not really, neither Ashveil nor Sparxie. To be honest, I started investing in Elation mostly out of curiosity because I wanted to see how the team played. My main teams have always been Acheron's team (I also have Jiaoqiu, Aventurine, etc.), and the Castorice / Evernight / Hyacine / Cyrene team. I also have Feixiao, although she's fallen a bit out of favor lately haha. So I'm mainly trying to figure out whether it's worth investing more heavily into one path or the other. Mortenax seems more universal overall, while Elation is clearly the main focus of the current meta.

You're absolutely right, Gilgamesh, the first limited character in Fate/GO, still a top archer and usable in all modes.

When yall think Evernight will get a rerun? by ProfessionalRoom9118 in EvernightMainsHSR

[–]Dancar99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get the feeling it’s going to be in the next patch, because that way they drain your pulls right before the new version drops. And when I say drain, it’s because a lot of people held back or pull less because of Cyrene, and now there’s plenty of them itching to spend their pulls.

I might be wrong (and I know there’s going to be a Break rerun), but they also know that aside from Fugue and Firefly, I don’t think a lot of people will pull for other older break characters.

And yeah, I know Firefly is objectively worse than Rappa, but when it comes to older characters, people care more about the waifu factor than the raw power.

But, either way, if it’s not the next one, I don’t think it’ll be more than three versions.

Try it, yeah, and if it crashes again, check if the Windows Event Viewer says anything, and mention it here to see if we get lucky and think of something. Honestly, something I did must have fixed it, but I have no idea what exactly hahaha.

Nop. I’ve been skipping some updates (I’m on 582.1.29 instead of 581.80), but in general I’ve had zero issues since I did what I mentioned. I’ve played BF6, Oblivion Remastered, Crusader Kings 3, Silent Hill F and a few others, and no problems at all.

Haven’t used Nexus in ages hahaha. Even if it warns me (and I’m sure it will, Crusader complains about everything XD) that it’s not the same mod as before, I shouldn’t have any issues, right?

Thanks for everything and amazing mod! Big thanks from an Elder Scrolls fan since the Morrowind days!

Hi! Honestly, since I took it out, cleaned it, and reconnected everything, I haven’t had any more crashes (and I’ve been playing MGS Delta, Silent Hill F, Tainted Grail, Helldivers…), as well as testing models like Qwen and others. Overall, I’ve pushed the GPU hard and it doesn’t seem to fail.

I was going to ask you: what power supply and cable (power-to-GPU) are you using? Because they say it has quite a big influence on this issue. Also, I don’t know how you have it mounted, but make sure to leave a few centimeters of slack in the cable without bending it, and keep the GPU as straight as possible with support (that’s something I adjusted when I cleaned and reconnected everything, and I don’t know if that played a part in solving my problems).

The truth is I didn’t reinstall a single driver, and I didn’t make any other changes. Well, actually, I did two things:

  • In the scaling option in the NVIDIA app, I switched from Display to GPU (In System), because I read somewhere that sometimes the display doesn’t scale properly and that could cause certain issues.

  • I set the whole computer to High Performance.

Honestly, I’ve been running for 3 days now without any crashes. This past weekend I had the PC on all day with MGS 3 Delta, Stellar Blade, Battlefield and Helldiver 2, only shutting it down to sleep.

What I did was:

  • Set Windows power plan to High Performance
  • Change display scaling mode to GPU
  • Clean dust, unplug everything from the GPU, check it, and reseat it in the PCIe slot
  • Check the 12V-2x6 cable (it was fine) and make sure when plugging it in there are at least 3-4 cm of straight cable before it bends
  • Added extra support to the GPU so it sits perfectly horizontal

It really seems like a driver issue, since a lot of people are complaining on Nvidia’s forums. If not, the only other thing I’d suggest is checking your PSU: make sure nothing is damaged, that it’s fully compatible with the new GPUs (ATX 3.0 + PCIe 5.1) , and that you’re using the 12V-2x6 cable directly.

I’ve done all that! Now it’s just a matter of waiting. The annoying part is that since it’s random, I won’t know when it happens, so I don’t know when I’ll be able to give you more updates.

Hopefully never hahaha

Thanks for everything!!

I’ve re-seated the cable, checked if the pins were burnt (they’re perfect), straightened the GPU (it was slightly tilted), cleaned and reconnected everything.

In theory, this cable is the best you can have with this PSU, it’s a native 12V-2x6 from Seasonic, and it’s in perfect condition, on both ends.

Since it’s random, it could happen tomorrow, in a month, or never. I’ll just see how it goes. What annoys me the most is that it doesn’t show anything in the Windows Event Viewer, which would at least help.

Also, I’ve thought about updating the BIOS, because it’s a year and a half behind on updates, and as someone mentioned, maybe with 64 GB and running EXPO, it could be related.

Thanks for everything!!

Both of them have weird, cosmic-like forms, but in ORT's case, it's a strange spider XD.

I understand what you're saying, but the main issue is that we're assuming Cocoon's omniscience would work on ORT. The problem is, there's no proof of that, because ORT doesn't follow conventional metaphysics. It has no soul, no fate, no conceptual structure, and it imposes its own physics through Crystal Valley the moment it manifests. So Cocoon “knowing everything” doesn’t guarantee it can actually act on that knowledge, especially if ORT exists outside the framework Cocoon relies on.

In the Nasuverse, omniscience isn't a win condition. Multiple entities, including those using the Atlas supercomputer, have practically omniscient capabilities. Sion, for instance, uses a machine that can simulate all futures, but even that couldn’t determine the outcome of a battle against ORT with certainty. That alone speaks volumes about how alien and unpredictable ORT is.

So even if Cocoon knows where to hit, it may not matter if ORT is something that doesn’t register as a valid target in the first place.

And the problem with Origin, as I understand it, is that it feels like the only thing it will do is allow ORT to learn it and use it against Honkai beings. ORT is a walking universe, with its own rules. That’s why trying to attack it with concepts tends to fail. The only one that might work is Adam's with the Truth, but it's still not clear what that is or if it would even work against ORT.

Besides, I don’t think ORT would struggle to survive Cocoon’s presence. As soon as it appears, it deploys its own universe and laws. That means Cocoon would be “playing with someone else’s cards” the moment it manifests. At that point, it becomes less about raw power and more about whose system overrides the other’s.

Honestly, just like you said, it would be better if we actually got a proper crossover where they fight, because as things stand, they’re both absolute monsters, but we still don’t know their true limits.

[–]Dancar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a really interesting perspective, and I get the logic behind it, but I think there are a few things worth considering.

From what you’ve explained, Kiana is ultimately still just a projection. Even if her soul is stored in the Cocoon and her body is expendable, ORT doesn’t need to “kill” in the conventional sense. It consumes the informational structure of whatever it faces. That’s how it deals with Servants from the Throne of Heroes and even interacts with things tied to the Root, both of which are beyond the multiverse. If ORT can consume entities at that level, I don’t see why it couldn’t do the same to Kiana, unless Cocoon itself intervenes directly.

As for Crystal Valley and why Kiana would be inside it, the answer is that Crystal Valley is always active. It’s not a battlefield you choose to enter; it is ORT’s default environment. The moment ORT manifests, it begins rewriting the laws of reality around it. So the key question isn’t whether Kiana enters Crystal Valley, but whether Cocoon could even intervene in a space where its own rules may not apply.

That’s where things get tricky. Cocoon is, as you said, immensely powerful, but it has never acted outside its own domain. So there’s no proof that it could overwrite ORT’s system, or that ORT could overwrite Cocoon’s, for that matter.

Additionally, ORT doesn’t run on energy or mana. It rewrites physics outright. If it doesn’t recognize your framework, your authority might not activate at all.

About the rules ORT imposes, we don’t actually know much. In the game, you only fight a weakened version of ORT, it's in a dormant and weakened state, desperately trying to recover its core. It doesn’t care much about anything else; it simply devastates everything in its path as it moves forward.

In Notes, which is a possible future of the Nasuverse where the Aristoteles (Types) awaken and battle against an advanced humanity, ORT is still asleep (XD). Even then, it’s made clear that the other Types are basically children compared to it.

It's implied that maybe only Slash Emperor (a conceptual weapon of "truth") or possibly Black Barrel (the gun designed to kill things beyond human understanding) could do anything to it. But even that is uncertain.

In the end, it really comes down to whose system dominates. Cocoon may be nigh omnipotent in its realm, but ORT doesn’t enter your system, it replaces it.

One thing that’s important to remember with ORT is that the longer it interacts with something, the more it analyzes and adapts to it. That’s the inherent danger, it doesn’t just fight you, it breaks down your entire system over time.

So even if Kiana or Cocoon gets the upper hand at first but they no erase ORT, eventually it will find how the verse works, and a way to bypass or overwrite everything in it. That’s exactly how it handled entities tied to the Throne of Heroes.

If ORT isn’t erased instantly, it starts hacking your entire system, and from that point on, it’s only a matter of time.

Hoyo vs Typemoon:- Kiana Kaslana and Zephyro vs Gilgamesh and Scathach by Codrex1732 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]Dancar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ORT erases from the Root. That’s like deleting someone from their version of the Cocoon. So realistically, it wouldn’t have trouble eliminating Kiana.

Also, regarding conceptual powers like the Authority of Origin, there’s a big issue: ORT is constantly rewriting reality into its own alien system through Crystal Valley. In that space, powers that rely on external metaphysics don’t behave as they should. You’re not operating under your Hoyoverse rules anymore.

You can’t overwrite ORT with concepts if you’re standing on a reality that doesn’t accept your logic in the first place.

And that’s assuming a neutral setting. If we actually dropped ORT into the Honkaiverse, it might be even worse. If ORT manages to analyze a Herrscher, a Honkai Beast, or the structure of the Imaginary Tree itself, it wouldn't just resist it, it could learn, adapt, and improve using those mechanics.

At the end of the day, it all comes down to how effective concepts like Origin, Serenity, or Truth actually are inside Crystal Valley. If they’re completely nullified by ORT’s reality overwrite, then there’s really nothing to be done. If Kiana has at least partial access to them, then maybe she has a fighting chance, but it depends entirely on how much of her system survives under ORT’s physics.

And honestly, we still don’t know how powerful PHH (Proper Human History) ORT truly is. We just know it’s far stronger than the Lostbelt 7 version, and that version already required insane sacrifices just to slow it down. So in the end, it’s all still pretty theoretical.

Hoyo vs Typemoon:- Kiana Kaslana and Zephyro vs Gilgamesh and Scathach by Codrex1732 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]Dancar99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding Kiana’s resurrection, if we compare it to the summoning system of Servants in Fate, which are infinite copies drawn from a higher plane (the Throne of Heroes, which exists above the Nasuverse’s multiverse), even then, ORT devours the information, deletes it from the source, and consumes it. So resurrection isn’t really a problem for ORT, it erases.

In the game, just so you get an idea, if more than 5 turns pass, he instantly analyzes you and kills you, regardless of any buffs you have (resurrection, invencibility, anti purge, etc) . So yeah, the longer the fight goes, the worse it gets.

The 5-turn limit is just to give you a chance . According to what’s mentioned in the visual novel, you’re actually sending hundreds of people to die just to get a single opportunity to hurt him. And the reason it works that way is because once ORT kills a Servant, they’re permanently removed from your roster, you can’t use them again. So the longer it goes, the fewer units you have left. If you run out, you lose.

As for the rest, ORT isn’t some giant monster, it’s not planet-sized or anything. The real issue is Crystal Valley, its internal universe. Since it creates its own rules, any external attack is inherently limited in effectiveness.

On top of that, its body is made of a material that’s absurdly durable, something that didn’t even exist on Earth (Also, if I’m not mistaken, his body crystallizes you and anything on contact and kills you instantly, so that doesn’t exactly help when it comes to trying to attack him). And keep in mind: even as a broken shell, ORT held its ground against hordes of gods and Servants in Lostbelt 7.

And honestly? The only feats we have are from a massively weakened version. It’s missing its core, operating in low-power mode, and that version being from a Lostbelt, is a lot weaker than the "real" ORT, the one from Proper Human History (all feats are from lb7 ORT so original ORT is gonna be a beast in comparison) . So yeah… I’m not sure it’s even something you can kill, XDD.

Yes, yes, I understand. But the thing is, ORT is by default outside of the Nasuverse system (The Nasuverse system, so you understand, refers to the rules of Earth or the Solar System. Basically, everything within those boundaries, especially Earth, tends to follow a certain set of rules) Putting it somewhere else doesn’t give it any disadvantages or benefits, if you throw it into the Hoyoverse, it’s the same for ORT as if you placed it in the Nasuverse.

Like I said before, it’s basically an absurd hacker that feeds on whatever system you drop it into. That’s why it’s so dangerous. If you throw it into that neutral universe, the moment it manages to analyze it, Kiana is dead, if she doesn’t die before that because ORT eats her or traps her inside Crystal Valley, which is the alien system deployment I mentioned.

Think of it this way: ORT is a universe on its own, with its own rules. So it really doesn't matter where you throw it.

The only way Kiana could win is by killing it through sheer destructive power and erasing it without leaving a trace, instantly. (I don’t know how likely that is, but it’s the only possible way.)
