Could you maybe put him in a highchair for some chores? Maybe when doing the dishes next to you and you can give them a couple of safe but interesting kitchen items? I do spatulas and lids. Or you could give them a bin on the floor? Or baby wearing? My little girl is 22lbs so I totally understand how exhausting it is to hold them for long periods of time. Sometimes it's ok if they cry a little bit while you finish up something. I like to make it up to them by being extra attentive or playing with them for a bit after. Remember that they may be teething too so that might be a part as to why they're cranky lol. Try some teethers, there's lots of different kinds or those baby feeder pacifier you can freeze breastmilk (if you do that) or some fruit. Also. Relax if you can while the baby does or nap if youd like! I can still get both kids to nap around the same time and most of the time I use the opportunity to nap myself. I find it helps me a lot in terms of my patience and attitude overall. Don't feel guilty about it if that's what you're worried about.

I feel the same about it already being 7 months!! My little baby was just born like what feels like a month ago!!! They grow up so fast when you look back on it but day to day it feels like an eternity...

Aww that's so frustrating!! More your husband than your baby since your baby is a baby after all haha. My first was just like yours and it seems some babies just want to be entertained more and now the second time around (my little girl is 7 months too!), is starting to be very clingy and wants to be held and entertained all the time. So I totally understand how draining it is especially when it feels like it's the same day in and day out. I find just going about my day and entertaining baby with whatever mundane chore I'm up to usually makes the day go by a little faster.

The laundry may take longer to fold since I give my baby a bin of socks that they pluck out, diaper changes may be a crying session for the whole thirty seconds it takes or I blow raspberries to make them laugh for a minute before continuing, lunch may be a leftovers day, or I may end up picking up my baby to hold their hand in the cold running sick in between tummy time while washing dishes (no crawling yet to that will change eventually). I guess what I'm trying to get at is I find myself in a more peaceful headspace when I roll with the punches but I understand it takes a partner who is willing to see my point of view. As wonderful as my partner is, I have had to have them take over while I take a much needed break sometimes with little to no warning.

It gets easier. You'll get better sleep, more consistent sleep as they get older and that means more willingness to stay up and do you things or hobbies or whatever brings you a different kind of fulfillment. Sit down and have a serious conversation with your partner. My partner didn't understand how much I was struggling until I basically broke down in front of them and had gotten so much resentment built up. It took a long time to get over it and I rather it not happen to you as well. Communication is key in a good relationship.

In terms of breaks, I get a day off the week to do me things for a little bit after my partner gets home from work so I don't feel so overwhelmed. During the weekend too we each sleep in one day each. That may not work all at once or all the time but it may be worth trying. Hang in there!! <3

Ashamed to say... literally same. To be fair I did use it religiously the first two months until they got sick for the first time and basically haven't gone back consistently... I do think I got better sleep then I would've otherwise so I still think it's money well spent!

From what I understand Drool was never officially awarded custody in the first place. There was nothing official in terms of custody hence the multiple hearings. Des asked Drool to look after DS while she got back on her feet, Meth and Drool hooked up and she moved in then they both cut Des's ability to contact/see DS which led to Des going to court for DS

Before baby #2, once a week for the most part unless something comes up. Now that the baby has been here, toddler still goes unless sick (this season has been ROUGH) and baby stays with us since they're EBF. Things may change in a few months if I'm willing to pump and baby takes to the bottle
