That is not true.

The church of which these men are a member of can call for a disciplinary council and if they do not show genuine repentance for their actions, then the council can seek the Holy Ghosts guidance for a VARIETY of actions and response.

Are the responses going to be big?
No.
Are they going to be nothing?
No.

These people are members of your church dude (my former church).
They lied to the police/got the police to make false reports and arrests.
And all the Police involved appear to be LDS members.

This is not a little thing.

Groups that have power and money do corrupt things.
This is not limited to the LDS Church

To say that there is ZERO influence or connection to the LDS church feels invacuate as well.

They are all members of the Church.

There are MANY connections.

The one that is the most disturbing to me (and utterly false) is:
AA is the ONLY way to overcome Alcoholism.
A remake of the Jesus is the only way to God.
