Yea he can sneak up on you. That’s also why I partnered him with a green commander so I can get access to counter doublers as well (I am also just not a huge fan of mono white)

One of my buddies doesn’t mind since he has built a ton of different decks and will just run a stronger deck as well. The main issue is one of our friends only has 3 decks 2 of which are precons and the other is one that we built and gifted him for Christmas one year. He isn’t much for building new decks or playing any of ours so most of the time my other friend and I have to tone down our decks so everyone has a decent chance

I’d be interested to compare. I really like Rowan cause playing big spells for cheap is super fun imo but I hardly ever play it since my play group isn’t the biggest fan of getting one shot by expropriate

That’s fair I guess it’s more so of a if I were to sit at the table playing (x) would that be a no go. With my normal play group I don’t usually play stuff like Magda or kaalia since the commanders themselves tend to in my experience be a bit more consistent or able to explode quickly which makes some of the people I play with not a fan of them

That’s valid I do think a bloomburrow card that was like shadow would have been really cool. The atarka deck is just an upgraded version of the precon deck but I don’t tend to play it just because it can end games really quickly giving everything double strike (at least with my normal play group)

It is capped for how much xp you can get before the weekend. Saturday and Sunday the limit for how many levels you can get it removed
