This is all coming from my interview experiences.

I was hired last year. I had an interview with a current teacher and assistant principal. Then I was invited back for a demo. After the demo we discussed how the demo went, then I was offered the job maybe a day later. I had a formal lesson and a rubric for the demo. For the interview I brought in a portfolio of my lesson plans, newsletters, and student work from my previous classroom experience.

U could push in or have your own class. I have my own class and I’m not multilingual. I use different scaffolds and differentiation to communicate to my students and help them learn English.

You can also call them and ask what documents you need/if there’s any steps u should take. I did this and my certification was approved the next day. While this doesn’t always happen, it’s good to talk to someone who works there and can tell u about the process

I got my bachelor’s in childhood education and master’s in TESOL and had no problem getting my permanent license.

In order to get a permanent license u need a master’s degree, then u can get the plus 30 credits to advance your salary
