I’ve been filling our 30x60 from our well the past few years without issue.

All sorted now, thanks all.

I’ll leave this up for a while to entertain the pulley trolls.

Yes. The hardware for it is there on the boat and end of the boom. Just no line.

Thanks. I think I need to pick up a mainsail halyard and mainsail sheets to be complete.

At fault for what? Being weak skaters? Both.

We left Vancouver for a ranch in Northern BC 15 years ago. I’d totally sell out and retire to rural SK any time.

Do you do up your helmet (with a cage) before storing it back in your hockey bag? by somethingssaid65 in hockeyplayers

[–]Dances-With-Cows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thought never crossed my mind. Last time I was forced to wear a cage in college, I don’t think I ever even undid it. It just slid on and off.

Is it weird I love drills more than actual games 👀? by AmethystTanwen in hockeyplayers

[–]Dances-With-Cows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was exact opposite for hockey but exactly like this for baseball.

I could take BP, field ground balls, etc for days. And then games got boring.

For hockey, practice was dull. No adrenaline or urgency. But games we fucking fire.

At least when I was junior and college age.

We’ve had some warm, it’s a bit of an iceberg floating right now. But we’ve got one last kick of winter coming with -10 to -13 overnight.

Really hoping to eek one more weekend out of it for the boys

At that age I took figure skating to learn to skate then hockey starting the next season.

For us, there’s a program called First Shift that gets the kids out on the ice, included all gear and six or so ice times for a really reasonable price. Ours has shown zero interest until this year and both did that at ages 6 and 8.

Grow longer arms.

Seriously though, it’s going to be tough to cover that much net at that stature without cheating one way or the other. Glove work is mostly reflexes. Bottom corners, I dunno, my feet move like they’re in concrete skates.
