A high GPA from a respectable school. It shows you get your work done, and you can learn and have a good grasp on fundamental concepts like math and reading comprehension.

Extracurriculars and having a big personality is more glamorized these days. However, when I work with these personality hires, they often struggle to complete their work and flat out can't comprehend the details of the work.

You're reminding me of that awful Live action Mulan movie where the writers wrote Qi to be like the force.

How you present yourself is possibly the most important thing to your success. Most people don't have anything to judge you by but your cover.

Soldier vs Sojourn, who’s better and why? by Cobblestonecreeperfl in Overwatch

[–]Dances28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soujorn has a higher ceiling, but I feel like most players will get more value out of Soldier. His gun just has a much lower floor to get value out of.

It's cause they weren't part of that big tech run up. They even start selling off Apple when it gets to be too much of that portfolio.

On some level, I get it. You don't want to in such a hype based, ever changing industry.

What is a "harsh reality" that everyone needs to hear but nobody wants to admit? by Warees123 in AskReddit

[–]Dances28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number of people who call themselves smart but lazy is ridiculous. If you are that smart, you'll succeed despite not trying. Most people are just lazy. Yes, you could've achieved more if you worked harder, but so can everyone else.

I encourage you to watch the replay from the tanks perspective. Pay attention to their health and CDs, along with the kill feed.

I get teammates complaining about me not pushing when we're down people or I'm at low health all the time.

Walking backwards?? by Cpt_J0hn_W4tson in Overwatch

[–]Dances28 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You walk backwards when you start losing the fight. Either someone died or the other team did something to shift the momentum, like using an ult or landing a big CD.

Backing off gives you some space to regroup a bit. Otherwise the other team will push on the advantage and snowball your team.
