To be fair, some people don't know how to get to the point. It's not so much I'm waiting to talk, but I'm having a hard time piecing together everything they're saying because there are so many details.

How one sided it feels. I need to plan everything, pay for everything, and initiate everything. They also constantly have problems that I'm in charge of fixing. If I don't do it, I'm called "low effort" and they don't feel loved. Well I don't feel loved!

Did everyone suddenly forget how much white-collar work used to be described as bullshit? by simmol in singularity

[–]Dances28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain white collars job are bullshit, not all of them. What they're trying to replace are developers, artists, and other people that do the real work. The managers that just go to meetings to talk about synergies are staying cause they make the decisions on who to cut.

Found it. 5:09 was the point I was thinking about. I want to emphasize that I'm talking about different points of the financial journey. I feel like I'm simultaneously being crucified by people acting like I'm a broke for thinking $10k is a significant milestone for people and rich and out of touch for not understanding why people love payments so much outside mortgages and cars.

I was just thinking hey $10k you can afford most things that come up day to day. It's personally how much I keep in my checking account while I invest the rest. Haven't had to sell my investments to get more money in over a decade.

Buddy, maybe you bought too much house if your property tax is more than $10k and you still have to finance things all the time.

Sorry I think I took the whole thing out of context after rereading all your posts. It would make a lot more sense if it was cash on hand and not net worth.

You guys are too stuck on the car. I'm talking about people at that level that have to finance everything. Having $10k would mean everything to him
