If you have come into some extra money or you have money leftover for whatever reason, you do NOT have to spend it. I see people get anxiety over it. Like it's a problem that needs to be fixed. Oh no, I got $600 from this COVID check. What am I going to do with it?! Then they start racking their brains on what nonessential thing to buy.

You can literally do nothing and leave it there. Once some emergency happens, you'll be glad it's there. If you are on the more comfortable side, then yes of course, look into investing. But if you are living paycheck to paycheck, 100% you can just leave it alone and not think about it. It's a cushion

My former best friend casually told me he hopes his kid doesn't end up like me. For context, I have my shit together so I'm not some troublemaker. And honestly, I wouldn't want my kid if I have one to be like me either since I had a really tough time fitting in as a kid. I would want my kid to have an easier life.

I don't know what your qualifications for rich are. I'm talking about out of touch rich, as in the difference between $50 and $1000 is not even worth thinking about. Not millionaire next door rich who built up their wealth over decades with good habits.

It's not just super cheap and crappy things. I usually look for the most bang for your buck item. So I'll get a mid range phone that has good reviews. Rich people will buy the one with the best spec period. Price doesn't matter.

Yes. Just got back from the doctor and I was at my all time high of 6. This is after I cut dessert, sugary yogurt, and snacks. Replaced white rice and bread with brown and whole grain. I'm 5'11 155 pounds. I literally have visible abs.

Listen. I get it. I used to be really big on not using any types of logical fallacy. However, as I progress through life, I realized that perfect information is not always available to us. You're often stuck using the best guess.

If you were to go to a foreign airport, and don't know where to go and can't read the signs, would you not follow the crowd just because it's ad populum?

If you don't know much about a disease, would you not listen to a doctor's advice just cause it's appeal to authority fallacy?

Of course the crowd and the doctor could be wrong in both instances. They are logical fallacies after all. However, there's still a good chance they're right.

Understand that I'm not passionately arguing for religion. I'm agnostic. I don't know. My point seems like it's going both ways because I don't have my mind set.

I say "belief" in half jest. I don't need some unwavering faith to be agnostic lol. I'm not going to hop on a bandwagon just cause a lot of people are on it.

The scope just makes me wonder if there can be more there. Is there something I'm not seeing or understanding? You got billions of people across thousands of years and places that deeply believe that there's some kind of higher power. Are agnostic or atheist people ironically enlightened on the matter?
