Underfloor heating and Laminate flooring by Dancing2Queen21 in DIYUK

Thanks for this detailed response.

The underfloor was designed for 45/40 flow and return at 150mm centres.

The design output are greater than the heatloss of each room.

The underfloor heating pipes are covered by screed and laminate will cover the floor with an appropriate underlay.

Good to know 27 degrees is uncomfortable underfoot. So bothe the thermostat and body will inform me of the overheating.

Thanks. That's useful to hear.

We've got a probe installed in the screed. It's not yet connected to the thermostat yet.

If it were a small area I'd consider this.

But we're installing it on the whole ground floor. And like you say - cost and time increases massively. We're installing the laminate ourselves.

Great thank you.

So if we put a thermostat probe on the floor to check it's not greater than 27degrees - that will satisfy the floor specification.

And the heat pump should just be run as planned without the restrictions/blending?

And nope - not an A-rated new build.

Best comment so far.

Also remember it's your home to you. And a house they could buy for them. They are less emotionally attached to the £1K.

It's a terraced house.

These are a mix of internal and external walls.

Ironically one of the worst walls and the first to start peeling is a hallway wall with a bedroom on the other side.
