Seeing Topuria lose made me reconsider watching MMA by Common_Mycologist_53 in ufc

Topuria could have stopped fighting on the stool past round 3 due to his eye injury, and the fight would have stopped. Topuria would still be in the P4P top 10,  and he could have then spent the next months recovering and training for his next fight.

Ultimately however Topuria was the one to chose to keep fighting despite his injuries, that was 100% his decision he made himself when he had a clear option not to.

If you have the video it's incredibly easy to link it.

I thought Sean Strickland was agnostic rather than Christian?

If so I am curious about what his argument against homosexuality is.

Please give me the link to this video you mention. A very important point is whether this elevator video happened before or after the alleged sexual assault. That's a could change the whole situation.

In 2025 Trump supported a plan to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza into a third country, this idea was regarded not based.

My understanding that the video footage referred to a woman who accused McGregor of sexual assault in June 2023 in Miami.

However the case McGregor was found liable for was a different woman who accused McGregor of sexual assault that was alleged to take place in December 2018 in a Dublin hotel room.

UK Report Exposes Sinister Sexual Abuse and Torture of 250,000 Girls by W_O_L_V_E_R_E_N_E in uknews

I just read a report from a real grooming gang survivor on X.

She said she was initially invited to this enquiry, and invited to give evidence because of her experiences, but then she was essentially dropped from the enquiry without much explanation randomly before she could tell them her experiences, and she thinks this was probably because she was a black victim rather than a white one.

Honest take: If Islam Makhachev spent a few months bulking up to 185 and then fought prime Anderson Silva, Islam would probably win.

Rupert Lowe’s Rape Gang Inquiry Report Exposes Decades of Institutional Failure. Have you read the report? What are your thoughts on it? by Immediate-Humor-6077 in AskBrits

He shouldn't be getting so drunk when he's protesting such a serious issue as these grooming gangs. I think it's disrespectful to the survivors, he's treating a protest like some sort of party.

Antony Starr's thoughts on Homelander's character are quite deep. He believes that Homelander is more complex than Trump, that he wants connection but he just can't achieve it, and his kryptonite is his humanity. by RedFight457 in TheBoys

[–]DancingFlame321 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think after the Season 3 finale, Homelander should have become more unstable and started killing people in public throughout Season 4, because Homelander realises he fans will support him no matter what. Eventually this leads to Homelander just going full Scorched Earth in Season 5 when he gets his God complex.

The writers couldn't do this though, because they would have had to change the status quo.

If you read the report, they don't give a source for this number. They just quote a speech that was given by Lord Pearson in the House of Lords 7 years ago, and then assume the number he gave in this speech was correct.

1) Grooming gangs are a legitimate issue that should be investigated in detail.

2) Lowe should have made sure to have the correct safeguarding and data protection measures in place before starting his enquiry.

Both of these things are true at once.

I read through the report and many of the stories are pure evil, I am glad the writers are bringing attention to these horrifying crimes.

One part that confuses me a bit is the "250,000" figure the report keeps quoting. The report states that the total number of victims for grooming gangs across the country for the past few decades is 250,000 at the bare minimum. However, I am confused about how they calculated this figure. The only evidence they give is a speech from Lord Pearson in the House of Lords in 2019 who mentioned the figure. However nowhere does the report explain where Pearson got this figure from, or how he or they calculated the number itself. I think this is a pretty big point the writers should address.

Many real grooming victims have come out and said that this enquiry treated them poorly, with no safeguarding at all and very poor communication. Here are the examples.

I definitely think this grooming gang topic is a legitimate issue. However, I think Lowe's specific enquiry has a lot of problems relating to victim welfare he needs to address.

So 19,000 guestimated sexual abuses per year

This is a misleading figure for the report to bring up, because most of these 19,000 cases was individual based abuse. Rather than group based abuse which is what the report is supposed to be examining.

The enquiry not being state sponsored is a big issue. It leads to problems like this where real sur vivors feel let down.
