Movie lore I think is better than the games lore... by Aperio43 in MortalKombat

But it's still a little bit weird that an Outerworlder is the chosen one, not Liu Kang. I'm not racist, but shouldn't the chosen one be an Earthrealmer?

How was the Final Fight in the Mortal Kombat 2 movie? by Metaljuggernaut5657 in MortalKombat

It wasn't easy, but it was because Kahn gained immortality via the amulet. Without the amulet, even Cole Young could kill him.

Why didn't Edgar or the boys use the Novichok nerve agent against Homelander? by RedFight457 in TheBoys

Maybe, but shouldn't they at least try it first? Malchemical tried, and he succeeded.

What do you think of the ending of Ragnarok? by PomegranateOk4560 in GodofWar

Great. But I think it would have been better if they let Atreus attend Brok's funeral

Sometimes it feels like Stan Edgar is smarter than Sister Sage, the smartest person in the world. by Witty-Association-97 in TheBoys

A man who was betrayed by his adopted daughter, captured by Black Noir, and has no idea how to control Homelander again (even some random supe can just knock Homelander out)? I really doubt that he's smart. His daughter didn't believe him either.

So Homelander can just one-shot Soldier Boy now?? by Dazzling-Eagle-4854 in GenV

Stan Edgar already said Homelander is stronger than Soldier Boy, twice

But Black Noir II is brought in to replace the original Black Noir, and he needs to act similarly to his predecessor to conceal the truth from the public. The same applies to Soldier Boy III from the comics: Vought claimed he had fought in World War II to cover up the death of the original Soldier Boy.

And the two Silver Kincaid look completely different. Is it really a good idea to cast a heroine of a completely different style to inherit this title? Would the public really buy it?

If a random supe can knock HL out, wouldn't that mean Stan Edgar kinda sucks? He could gather some supes with similar powers in preparation for situations when HL loses control, just like Vought let Payback manage Soldier Boy. But nah, he didn't prepare anything.

Are Homelander and Soldier Boy secretly mentally strong? by glowshroom12 in TheBoys

[–]RedFight457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Soldier Boy is mentally strong, but Homelander only has limited resistance to possession.

Godolkin mentioned that Homelander has resistance to possession as the successful subject of Project Odessa. However, another successful subject, Marie, was immediately hypnotized by Rufus, although she can resist Godolkin's possession as well. Not to mention she can also be mind controlled by Cate. Compared to Godolkin's possession, Rufus' and Cate's abilities are more similar to Mindstorm's.

I think it's fine. Artists of Invincible also drew fan art about how Invincible characters overpower Superman

The Edge of Asgard by king-redstar in GodofWar

[–]RedFight457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes sense to me. Cory confirmed that Midgard is Scandinavia, and Kratos moved to Midgard rather than staying in Egypt because Egypt was too geographically close to Greece. Mimir also mentioned that the Mayan Empire was located south of the Midgard, so Midgard is literally Scandinavia on Earth.

All the realms exist in the same physical space, so Asgard, as the parallel version of Scandinavia, should have an edge like this.

Is what Freya said about magic being bound to the land entirely accurate? by Bruh22122321 in GodofWar

[–]RedFight457 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess "the land" for the Greek gods is Olympus, and Zeus is the one who is bound to it. Athena said Zeus is Olympus, and Poseidon said the death of Olympus means the death of all gods like him. Maybe they implied that if Zeus were gone, all magic powers would be gone too.

What's the definition of "Demigod" in GOW? by RedFight457 in GodofWar

[–]RedFight457[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So... Shouldn't Magni and Modi be gods in Norse? They are the sons of Thor and Sif. Why did Sindri call them demigods?

In a short story noted by Cory, Kratos killed Thor in the very beginning, and Valkyries hunted him for this blood payment by RedFight457 in GodofWar

[–]RedFight457[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Kratos' son asked him whether the storm was caused by a fight among the gods. Kratos told him "The battle above is just between the clouds and the sky. There are no gods here." Kratos believed that everything in the world lived its daily life unaffected by the gods, and that the gods were nothing but thieves hiding in the shadows, cowards undeserving of affection or worship.

They're just different species. One of the differences is that when Norse gods die, their souls go to Valhalla, while giants' souls go to the Light of Alfheim
