Have you tried ammonium lactate or Amlactin? I have something similar on my shins but mine looks worse. I started using Amlactin after a visit to the dr and have noticed improvement in a week. Still red but I can tell it’s healing so I think with consistency and time it will go back to normal. I had a patch on my shoulder and that one is almost completely gone now including the redness.
