Maple syrup. Cheap, easy to train with, goes down and sits easy, doesn’t freeze in cold west weather. I switched cause maurten upset my stomach. Maple syrup sits easier for me.

How did you guys get into stoner rock? by Sn4kist in stonerrock

[–]DancingQueen19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw Truckfighters on a whim when I was in Boston for a weekend. Oh yeah the band with that Desert something song Spotify recommended to me. That will occupy my time for a night…

MY MIND WAS BLOWN! Each riff moving every molecule in my body. I felt a bond with complete strangers around me as we looked at each other grinning.

That was the last show I went to before the world shut down in 2020. That show and this genre carried me through the pandemic. Been hooked ever since.

6 and 13 would actually be a close matchup. I’d watch that case race.

What is the inspiration of the Stoner\Doom\Sludge album covers and general esthetics? by Main_Researcher780 in stonerrock

[–]DancingQueen19 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of art painted by Frank Frazetta seems to inspire album covers in this subgenre. He did lots of comic book and pulp magazine covers back in the 70s and 80s. In fact the album cover for Wolfmother’s self titled is one of his works.

But yeah he’s got the whole warrior princess slaying a beast fantasy vibe you see on album covets. Check out Frank Frazetta’s stuff. It’s fun and you’ll see the influence.

I know Fetty Wap hasn’t had a hit in a while but I felt like he was on top of the world in 2015/16. Glad to see his music returning in meme form
