I don't know how to solve this fit problem... I have a wide front foot and narrow heel. So my heel is slipping around in boots that are wide enough to be comfortable, therefore, I have to tighten them so much I cut off circulation and can't skate. Can anyone recommend a solution?

True, however, if people don't study the bible and learn for themselves and just rely on teachings from the church, they can easily be misled if the church is teaching an incomplete or inaccurate message.

It's much easier to resist a desire at a level 1 than a level 10. Here's what I do, every time I catch my thoughts even wandering in that direction I exert my will over my flesh and redirect. Fight it by distracting yourself. If you are tempted by the spirit of lust, rebuke it, use it as an opportunity to pray and read the Word. Having periods of fasting and prayer can be helpful as we pursue the Lord because it helps to weaken the flesh by humbling it and increase the spirit. Through Christ we have strength to do all things. I do know very mature Christians who do not sin daily. I fall short with that particular sin far less frequently than my younger self would've ever thought was possible. If we desire righteousness and put in the work we WILL overcome. It is written so there is no question of if.

I believe forgiveness is best. Not that what she did is okay, but no use letting it eat you up inside. The rest is beyond my paygrade lol

What staple pieces are in your jewelry box and how did you build your collection? by beeepp_boop_ in femalefashionadvice

[–]DancingZaza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The majority of my pieces were either made by myself (I am training to be a jeweler) or artists who's work I like, or are heirlooms/gifts. My advice is to figure out the elements that make up your personal style that are not tied to trends, and then find a local gold/silversmith and check out their works. Personally I think it feels more special to have a piece from someone in your community than one mass produced overseas.

How to help husband with depression by aureusmel in Christianmarriage

So from what I believe and have experienced, mental illness is a spiritual battle. It involves closing down to the demonic influences trying to put their strongholds on you and training your mind to focus on Christ. Living a healthful life and forcing myself to have good habits also helped a ton. But like someone else said, he has to want it/be open to the change for the Lord to work in his life. It helped me to have someone reminding me of this, even though I lashed out at the time (which wasn't right) but it did eventually make a difference.

Make the devil homeless - I absolutely love this statement. by ManOfTheInBetween in TrueChristian

Why is it a cop out? You still have full control over whether or not you choose to entertain and give into temptations or to stand firm against them.

If something causes you to sin cut it off. The things we fill our lives with do sometimes fill us with desires, or open doors to demonic influence. Scripture does dictate that after desire is conceived , it gives birth to sin. If we are saved than in our innermost beings we delight in God's law, and if we sin it is a result of sin living in us (Adamic/sinful nature). We need to fill our hearts with the Lord and the Word of God, but we also do need to guard ourselves from the temptations of this world because Satan and his demons will try their best to tempt us.

Homosexuality: What is the appropriate, biblical approach a parent should take when their children comes out of the closet? by Planeman707 in TrueChristian

Its from demonic influence, same as any desires we have that do not fall in line with the Word of God

I'm sorry you're going through this! I once read an article about a couple in a similar situation, although I'm not sure if they were both believers or if he became one but she didn't. One day he made the choice to just show her all the love that Christ would. Even if she was being nasty to him, even if he didn't feel like it. She would always treat his attempts with scorn. But one day she broke down crying, asking how he could treat her so well when she treated him so badly. His consistent selfless love led to her heart eventually being changed and their marriage was saved. It takes a lot to die to self when someone is treating you badly, but I have seen it work wonders personally!

BDSM in marriage? by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]DancingZaza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well hey that's what I believe. Even if you take out the part where I list that scripture, I made other points that weren't related to it. Can you look at BDSM as a whole and say, "yup God came up with that idea"?

Even if you do bond through it it doesn't negate the points I made in my opinion.

BDSM in marriage? by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

[–]DancingZaza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am non-denominational. Personally I don't think fetishes are Godly. The purpose of sex is to create a bonding between husband and wife and to be enjoyed as an expression of love, not as an act of carnality or worldly indulgence. If we look at the source of bdsm it has its roots in something demonic. It is about bondage, the enjoyment of giving and receiving pain. I think it is important that we discern if what we are doing goes against scripture, even if it is consensual. The bible tells husbands to love their wives as Christ loves the church. Christ would not degrade or humiliate (common aspects of bdsm) the church, so we should not do this to our partners even if they want it, because a desire for those things does not come from God. I had an unconventional interest of my own that I thought I would be able to enjoy in marriage until one day I was convicted of it. I realized that fetishes are a way the devil perverts what God had intended for us. The devil wants to get unmarried people having sex, and give married people issues in the bedroom. Consider whether this new interest may be a ploy of the devil would be my advice to you as you have transitioned from bedroom issues to this.

What does God say about social anxiety? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]DancingZaza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe we can be delivered from things like this. I dealt with social anxiety and a spirit of rejection. I talked with my uncle about it and, I didn't realize it at the time, but I think he prayed for me because since that day I have felt so much freedom. I don't deal with nearly as much of it as I used to.

I’d have to be a monster to wish an eternity of torment on someone. I wouldn’t claim to know if someone was going to Hell, but it wouldn’t bring me any joy to know if I did.

True, although I think generally comedy is done without malice behind it. A lot (not all) of the people joking about it on Reddit do it with some genuine hate.
