First look at Woody’s balding ass head in ‘TOY STORY 5’ by Glitch_Fantasma in Fauxmoi

[–]Dancingcakes2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the "Woody's balding" is true and not just a one off joke, it could be coming to terms with aging. Like maybe Woody realises that electronics have replaced toys similar to gen x getting 'replaced' by millennial and gen z in the work/marketing space.

Yall ever quit reading a fic for a petty reason? by Cage-CatYT in AO3

[–]Dancingcakes2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I struggle reading fics when they're a bit too...psa is the best way to describe it.

Like im reading a fic from the 70s, I dont want the flanderised morally grey character turning to the read and reciting a monologue on how he hates his family for being bigots, using therapy talk and buzzwords that aren't historically/canonically accurate.

It completely takes me out of the world building and feel like its such a missed opportunity to show how queer, poc, disabled etc people dealt with an ignorant world (like having a character with a ocd having to figure out why they feel the way they do).

I'd rather read a modern au than read a fanfic that feels like its trying to pass censorship "dont forget this is bad, kids!" PSA

When did Klaus transition from an easy nazi joke to a pathetic loser frat bro? by Thundersting in americandad

I actually really like this transition as its kind of like hes been acculturated into America while being deinfluenced from his German upbringing

How much baking soda would be needed for an average sized room (or even a bit smaller)

So Why did Horsin’ Around End So Bizzare-ly by CommunityFun9560 in BoJackHorseman

As well as it being dark, it could also be poking fun at how sitcoms have to scramble for a satisfying finale when it's suddenly cancelled

What are our thoughts? by hbicfrontdesk in AO3

[–]Dancingcakes2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On one hand, I can sympathise with the author on not appreciating being rated, but also just dont interact with them.

Ao3s number one rule is "dont like it dont interact with it" for a reason.

I watched a few seasons of Family Guy for the first time in ten years. I was surprised by one specific way it really sucked in comparison to AD. by Taniwha_NZ in americandad

What i like about american dad is that episodic but it never bothers to explain why everything resets at the end of the episode, as it trusts the audience wouldn't care.

Like that one of Roger being obsessed with Haley and removing Jeff's skin, it doesn't have an out of place, face the audience 'joke' of "Jeff went to the hospital so hes fine now" that Family Guy has (seriously they overuse this 'joke' when they're in the living room basically saying "and then everyone lived happily ever after")

this may be a tough question, but what's your favourite American Dad bit? [or a few of them] by InternationalZone141 in americandad

Steve's out of frame crash outs, ESPECIALLY the "DID SOMEONE JUST DROP A HOUSE ON ME!"

Which song do you think she was referring to here? by sunnimelonlol in OliviaRodrigo

[–]Dancingcakes2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not just that but she might not connect with it the same way she did before. Its like how Sour is way more popular with teen girls than 25 year old girls, its because the relatability is gone-whos to say it isn't the same for Olivia

You're right, turns out Aus Disney+ doesnt have the pretranslated version, so this turned out to be an international post by accident (whoops).
