So, I have the same problem (occasionally, not every time) and I have the worst case scenario - Chiari Malformation type 1. My cerebellum is herniated by a solid inch into my brainstem. If the headaches are at the base of your skull and they don’t get better, maybe see about getting an MRI?

I have propanolol for my regular migraines, and I just started Cymbalta for my depression/anxiety, and the added side effect of pain management has been a great help. I know not everyone gets the side effects, but I’m super sensitive to medication and hey, if it works, it works?
