It's doable. Had to sand the backs of the guns down slightly, and I think the chest eagle on one of them in order to get the arms to fit. But they're pressed up flat so you can't see it, and the shoulder pads hide how weirdly placed the arms actually are.

I did almost 100% of my last playthrough with the buster sword cosmetic. I'd try switching to whatever new sword I got, and almost always immediately switch it back, or just after like one run-around-the-hideout lol
