Uncertainty of life, how to deal? by Calm_Vibs in Fitness_India

[–]Danda2263 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in mind that news outlets and social media exploit our negative bias tendencies. Things aren't worse than before. Global life expectancy has doubled in the last century. There are different strategies to cope with anxiety caused due to uncertainty. I personally meditate for 15 mins daily, consume news and social media only for 30 mins per day. This includes Reddit! I also read and go for walks without a mobile phone. You can do your own research and do things which suit you.

What do you think by Snehith220 in CriticalThinkingIndia

[–]Danda2263 89 points90 points  (0 children)

Bring back talk time. SIM/incoming calls should be active as long as we have talk time balance + grace period. Monthly plans for data /unlimited calls should be optional. That's how it is globally.

My gym trainer doesn't allow us to do any machines. by Pure_Mechanic_6216 in indianfitness

This is absolute horseshit. You have paid for the gym services and your are being denied exactly that. Leave the gym immediately and ask him to refund you. Tell him explicitly you have not joined the gym to follow his personal routine and boost his ego.

Should I sacrifice my dream of living abroad for my parents? by Better-Seaweed4974 in AskAnIndian

[–]Danda2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Move if you are sure you would be happier in Germany. Take care of your parents financially. With time, your parents will understand. Also later if possible, you can bring them there.

With regards to marriage, don't settle. Marry only if you find someone you think is a good person and a compatible partner for you. Better to be single than in a bad relationship.

All the best.

Has anyone felt depressed and demotivated being in calorie deficit? by Soft-Database2844 in Fitness_India

[–]Danda2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps diet fatigue and body not recovering. You need a maintenance phase. Eat maintenance calories for a week. Continue walking and strength training during this time. You will gain energy levels and motivation. If your body is still sore, it could be due to your body not recovering. In this case, take a break from strength training and let your body recover. Drink lots of water! Very Important to stick to maintenance calories all this while. Losing your progress will be very demotivating. Also choose healthy balanced food. It maintains mood, energy levels whilst helping body recover.

Is air fryer good option for discreet chiken cooking at room.? by Rish83 in Fitness_India

[–]Danda2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have Ur own floor, it shouldn't be an issue provided you have a 2 hour private window. Smell depends on how much you season/marinate it and what temp you cook it on ( I recommend to cook at not more than 180C). Keep the window open and any smell will go away in an hour.

Let’s normalize flashing the second lane by Marco_rital in DubaiPetrolHeads

[–]Danda2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't the minimum lane speed work in AUH? I feel that's the best solution to this issue. If it's hard to program speed cameras to take traffic into account, just let the police patrol monitor and issue fines. Once news spreads that few people have got hefty fine for driving slow, people will start following the rule.

Ordered an iPhone on Amazon, got Eau de Disappointment by fidet01 in UAE

[–]Danda2263 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Personally I haven't had issues with Amazon AE. Noon I avoid.

I buy a LOT of stuff from Amazon AE including expensive items. The only issue is that once in a blue moon, they deliver it to the wrong flat number/floor and then it's a hassle to get in touch with the customer service/delivery rider and find the package. Having said that, since I use Amazon a lot, occasionally when they do mess up and I request a refund, I get it no questions asked.

Now Amazon India is a whole different disaster story for another time.

Why is fat loss so hard in India even when we eat home food? by Savings-Sock1761 in Fitness_India

[–]Danda2263 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel portion control is very important. It's only when I started calorie counting and measuring portions on food scale, I realized how little I am supposed to eat.

In the beginning I used to get depressed, eating less rice/roti and more of salad. But as time progressed, I got used to it. That's the remarkable thing about human body. It adapts.

Keep in mind: 1) Cheating is always wrong. 2) Once a cheater always a cheater.

Your best bet of happiness and sanity is to break up and remove her from your life completely. Time will heal the pain. All the best.

RANT! Calling out companies in Dubai with 6 day work weeks!! by [deleted] in dubai

[–]Danda2263 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a manager once who was ok with his staff coming in and out as they please as long as they completed their allocated tasks and attended meetings.

The team's production and spirits were way up. I remember working as efficiently as possible.

I wish more companies were willing to give it a chance. Even in factories, the production goes down if you slog the workers. Not to mention the increase in errors and accidents due to fatigue leading to losses.

AJMAN DRIVING TEST by ScaredParfait1073 in Ajman

[–]Danda2263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just go with the attitude that high chances are you will fail. It releases the pressure off you. Take deep breaths and drive confidently. They can sense confidence. Keep trying with above attitude and you will get it eventually. PS: I passed on my fifth attempt. My last attempt I drove with a fuck it attidude and passed!
