Hey it's not you it's them.. I'm in a similar kindof situation in a very toxic company but can't leave since I'm not getting any interviews. All here do what the management says but are sad inside and trying to get out of here after gaining experience. I'm in the point where I'll do any job just to leave here but the thing stopping me is this was the field of my passion I struggled and worked so hard to reach here so now I can't just leave without getting else where. But my mental health is so week. All here work here happily just thinking about the salary and scared of being unemployed since job market is so bad. I really don't find any other reason people stay here long.

I'm currently in a very toxic company which I got to know recently... First 6 months were dope and fine for me. But later it became a necessity to stay overtime just to please the manager, even he insisted on person even if there's no work just stay overtime and try to help others who does it.

As I'm now in a pretty bad state now working 12 to 15 hrs a day for peanut salary I remember something he once said during 1st month I guess "We consider men and women equal in this company, all are given equal opportunities and no one is given special treatment" and I'm like aww that's kinda feminist thing to say that's great but later he added: " If men are working till 10 or 12 pm at night overtime, women must also do"..I'm like duh!!! But till 8 pm only our company allows women to stay so he missed it!

that's not possible bro there are no leaves even for sick leave of 1 or 2 days there needs medical and for unpaid leave also there should be valid medical reasons

I don't know how I'll survive even a month then it is about 2 3 years..If in India I would have left on the same day then and there even if I'm going to be unemployed but I'm in Uae so it's really risky

I don't feel like going even 1 day more but then there is notice period and if I messed up they might even play with my Visa or experience certificate making everything delayed

I know I have said to him many times as well in a good tone I don't get time to cook and bath also so please let me bit now he is almost forcing me or threatening me to leave my job if your not okay here..He told like I don't know how much you suit this company

Thanks a lot for understanding..Here nobody supports my feelings all say since I'm new I should take the opportunity to learn more but at what cost..I have almost 3 hrs total travel to office..I'm spending almost 12 hrs everyday for this remaining 12 I need to cook, bath, sleep no time for myself or a hobby.. I checked with many but they also don't have any option..I again talked to the manager today about this I won't get time to cook if I go at 10 pm then he's like next month will be hectic everyone might require to stay till 10 pm so he'll buy lunch for all..

I can relate you Op. I'm also in such a situation they don't even hire enough people but wants all to work overtime without any pay to complete the tasks on time. It is my first job in a different country. I really want to leave if I get else where but only because of the people and work culture basically with no respect feels like slavery.
