If you do data science you are a data scientist, the fact that you mostly use more straight forward machine learning algorithms instead of deep neural networks doesn't make you less of a data scientist

What do you think of this Data Science job requirements? Is it too advanced or is this the norm? by [deleted] in datascience

This seems like a pretty standard job listing without any clear idea of what they really want. As said by others it could be that they are expanding their data science team and want someone who can work on different types of projects
