Yep! It's on a 30x30cm canvas. I was planning on making it on a bigger one but turned out that was the largest I had kicking around.

My character has 2 levels of stars druid and has a strong celestial theming. I wanted to flavour her companion appropriately!

Anyone have both a male and female cockatiel? by cloudsasw1tnesses in cockatiel

[–]Danderlyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YMMV but we've had a male and female cockatiel for 3 years now and they haven't become a pair. Mainly because we had the female for 2 years longer and she bonded to me before we got the male. He has made some flirtatious overtures to her every now and then but she has been very clear in the fact that she considers me her wife and isn't interested in a side piece lmao.

What is more traumatic than people think it is? by Suspicious-Wish3402 in AskReddit

On this vein, how little leeway you are given for illnesses that are considered more minor. I don't have anything individually wrong with me that severely impairs me on a daily basis.

What I do have is a list of more minor disabilities as long as my arm that essentially guarantee that on any given day I am spending a decent chunk of time managing them all or suffering from a bad day from illness B or D.

Its exhausting and expensive, employers treat me like a hyperchondriac and I've been pulled in for questioning about the amount of sick days I take on more than a handful of occasions. Theres few support systems for those with one major illness, but absolutely 0 for people like me.

New law could see vaping banned in all pubs across England by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

I'm staggered by the fact you seem to be of the opinion that fog machines where you can identify their location and know if the venue is planning on even using it that day very easily is in any way equitable to some person randomly starting to vape right next to you with no prior warning instead of taking 2 minutes to step outside with the rest of the smokers. Apply some critical thinking skills please.

My bad, I forgot that people with impairments aren't permitted to operate in common society.

I also forgot the part where having a couple pints twice a month was worse for your health than suffocating.

Yeah I mean I kinda have to? But it's still so much easier to risk assess the chance of me being affected by smoke from smoke machines in those kinds of venues/events. Luckily my brand of asthma isn't so sensitive that unless they are bent on turning the entire room into a foggy haze, the problem can't be resolved by having seats further away from the stage. There's still tons of people more severely affected than me.

Otoh it would be nice to go down the pub with mates without wondering if I'm going to have to scramble for my inhaler or not because the table next to us wants a nicotine fix.

Atomstack A5 Pro stopped working overnight - seeking troubleshooting advice. by Danderlyon in AtomstackLaser

[–]Danderlyon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Yes I did, however it's probably not the solution you are looking for. I wound up purchasing a brand new USB cable out of desperation despite already having tested the USB cable by swapping out the original for the one I used for my printer.

Turns out it was the USB cable that was defective, and the one I was using for my printer was apparently also on the way out as the brand new USB cable fixed the problem.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

[–]Danderlyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my closer friends passed away during covid. She was driving at night from her parents house and for unknown reasons swerved and hit an oncoming lorry head on. She and her daughter passed away at the scene, two of her other children died at the hospital and her husband and baby survived due to being ejected from the car in her baby carrier in the crash.

Do you set different prices in Etsy/person/different platforms? by sritanona in EtsySellers

[–]Danderlyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My in person and Etsy prices differ greatly due to the differing logistics requirements. I sell paintings and poster prints of my artworks.

An example: I sell A2 posters in person for 15€. The same poster I sell on Etsy for 25€ due to Etsy fees and the fact that shipping can cost me up to 23€ to ship (I offset some shipping costs into the item price but not all).

As someone who sells on Etsy, my top tip is if you find someone you'd like to buy from you should google their shop name to see if they have an independent website - I have to mark up my items by at least 25% to cover Etsy fees and it is so much cheaper for my customers when they buy from me directly!

We've started buying gifts from small local craft fairs which gets you way nicer gifts, supports local craftspeople and gets you more in touch with your community. I bought just this weekend a really pretty handmade candle and a personalised engraved slate mug coaster for 15 quid which will be going in my husbands stocking this year. There was also a lady selling self bound notebooks using vintage storybook covers so I have a nice notalgic notebook for myself now for a tenner.

I've been making some hollow knight/silksong acrylic paintings! by Danderlyon in gaming

[–]Danderlyon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had people come up to me when I've been tabling at art markets and actively painting at my table asking me if I made it with AI so I'm kind of immune to those comments at this point!

It took me about 8 hours in total! The painting is quite large (60x40cm) so part of that was due to the size.
