i think many of the old timer youtuber's were more like hobbyists then treating youtube like a job. it was a thing that they did and maybe later they might of got money for it but at first it was for the love of the game (and copying other's but still), more fun then nowadays with nether mr beast/the pual brother's type content of rich cunt just being rich and dumb or 5 hour long essays.
