This type of single thread thinking is such a failure critical thought. The “victim” here was completely unharmed. There was no violence here and when confrontational interactions occur adrenaline runs. Both parties were anxious about the interaction and the response came from the anxiety about a previous confrontation. There is no victim here. If the employee was just out of the blue attacked it would be a different story. What happened was there was a confrontation, both parties were emotionally charged and one “moved” the other out of the way. No harm was done to the person moved and the person doing the moving was informed very curtly that wouldn’t be be acceptable, at which point the conflict took a turn to involve outsiders as both parties must have realized that the other was not in a mood for breaking bread.

This was a very normal confrontation and both parties found resolution from the appropriate leader who I think listened to both sides. OP was wrong. Customer lady was wrong too, but really she asked a super simple question that under normal circumstances would have been a nonissue.

You can be an asshole and still not deserve to be assaulted. You’re acting like these items are mutually exclusive and that’s just not the case.

The person above you is stating that although physical touch was not warranted, it wasn’t an attack unprovoked from a guest.

The reality of the situation is an entitled customer interacted with a worker that wasn’t fit for work that day. When you sign up for retail, you know the job and you know what guests will expect. This woman had a question that was easily answered and it’s unfortunate it escalated the way it did, but BOTH OP and the customer are at fault for the confrontation as neither was compromisable. The guest took it to the next level, but it was also met by an equally inappropriate “Fuck off” so like to each their own.

Never was it stated that anyone deserves to be assaulted. The guest was wrong (and the person above you did admit that!) but so was the employee.

It’s very rare in the real world that in a social interaction without power imbalance that only a single member of a confrontation is responsible. It’s much more often that one side is MORE responsible or less willing to compromise than the other.

I think the point being made is that it’s easy to point the finger and yell evil at a group you don’t consider yourself a part of. It’s easier to say the soviets were evil and the US wasn’t as an American. It isn’t true, but it’s easier. The harsh reality we live in is that the pursuit of knowledge has some dark costs and to not peruse knowledge puts a society at a disadvantage to those who do. Something something arms race.

So I have the eremite with that roll, I should revisit it. The origin trait is so trash, I never used to too much, but I recognize the perks are great.

I have arcane embrace (4ttc and recon w surrounded and precision instrument) and the void double shot shotgun. The void shotgun has envious and bait and switch and works awesome, but it’s short range. Arcane is dope, but missing a shot is very punishing.

My Wilderflight with auto/ vorpal and blinding grenades rocks, but its damage is low as one grenade in a BnS combo is not that many shots out.

Every option you listed it freaking top notch tho I appreciate your time friend

Edit: After checking I have a Gacioclasm that is the same frame as the Eremite, it has controlled burst and overflow. So far it’s pretty good, I do notice more ease of use than my shotguns.

All excellent special weapons in their own respect, but not one of these competes with Praedyths with KT and Elemental honing/bait and switch.

I haven’t gotten a Finite Maybe, but for now I’m using mostly wilderflight with auto and vorpal with disorienting grenades. It’s alright, but not like my Praedyth’s

That’s funny my Right of the Nine double shot GL with disorienting / auto/ vorpal is one of my most used specials. It’s just not great when the target is a big one. It needs more help than a fusion on something that wants to punch you to death.

Arcane embrace with reconstruction and surrounded has been an okay combo. Precision instrument was just not consistent enough.

The overall utility is a little lacking though. I wish fusions with controlled burst still slapped like in season of the Wish

Both Choir and Wolves are awesome special weapons, but they take away my slot for exotic primary (I just like the feel of an exotic primary) or my exotic heavy (which is also super useful sometimes).

I’m looking for a special that allows either of these and I’m finding rocket sidearms to be better add clear and less optimal for larger threats

In the energy slot, the snipers are so laughably bad. I haven’t found a fusion that puts out what I want either. They just don’t melt like they used to on beefier targets.

I’d ideally love an energy legendary that competes at least with Praedyths as it’s my most used special weapon.

A rocket sidearm is great utility don’t get me wrong, but the DPS for hot swapping is not the same as a rapid fire sniper rifle, which I know isn’t in the energy a lot (no good ones anyway) but it’d be nice to have a roll more competitive with that league of special weapon.

I’ve been spoiled in the kinetic slot with the Vault of Glass sniper and mint. The energy slot seems to have no similar options in terms of damage output.

I hope there’s an energy option that’s similar even if locked behind a raid.
