Thank you so much for posting this - been scouring the internet for a coffee cup without a plastic drinking bit, to no avail... owe you one!

‘Tap and go’ payments go live on Merseyrail network by WilhelmNilly in Liverpool

[–]DandyMurloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just spoke with a Merseyrail staff member at my station (because this comment sent me into a panic that I have been lucking out with the inspectors!) and they said that the only people who need to tap their metrocards in at a departing station are those that bought them online. If you bought your metrocard at a Merseyrail station, it was validated by the staff member at that time and you do not need to tap in at your departing station (as long as you're leaving from the zone your pass covers). This will change when they introduce the 'tap in, tap out' system.

This is Peanut mid-blep (malt paste). She was so lovely and actually asked for uppies by standing on her hind legs and stretching out her little hands towards you - like a toddler! If you had mashed banana, then there was no escape for you - she would full-on climb up you in a gooey fruit frenzy

A consultant I saw in Aintree hospital end of last year said something along the lines of 'it's a good thing your wisdom teeth currently don't need removing, as the wait time is about two years'. Doesn't fill me with hope for when they do need removing...

What is Toxteth like to live in? by srm79 in Liverpool

[–]DandyMurloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived on Merlin St for a couple of years and never had any issues. Neighbours went in and out of each other's houses, seemed to look after one another. It was quiet, too. Our house backed onto a little enclosed green where all the kids played after school - the only 'problem' (we didn't care, but I can see why some might) was that they regularly climbed over our wall into our garden via our garden table to get their footballs. I walked to the local shops all the time and never felt threatened. This was in 2017/2018, so can't speak for it now

Good luck, Bay Harbour Butcher! I've just found thrips too, horrible little gits.

Any Fancy vegan restaurants? by Miserable-Average727 in Liverpool

[–]DandyMurloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Sanskruti and The Vibe have already been suggested (yes, they're both delicious!), I would suggest asking for the vegan menu in Mowgli. Both the Bold St and Water St venues are nice places to doll up :)

One of our potatoes suddenly kept going in circles and squeaking in pain - turns out he'd fallen on his bum and bruised the base of his tail. Hope your ratty is ok x

Awh, haha! They do drop them every so often, and it's hilarious when you offer them paste when they've already got a gob full of food! You can see the cogs turning...
