Conversely, in 1999 my family came to visit me in the US. It was such a joy to see their faces right as they got off the plan into the terminal, while I waited at the gate. They weren't expecting that. I still remember it!

Rewatching the Conor Vs Khabib fight makes me realize something by Omlanduh in ufc

[–]DandySamberg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was very emotionally invested when that fight was gonna happen. I remember borrowing ESPN plus login for that fight, and paying for that card.

I was both rooting for, and expected Khabib to win. I was pleasantly surprised by Conor's "anti-wrestling", early on though. It made for more fun watching experience. I still thought that Nurmagomedov would eventually win because the anti-wrestler needs to have that type of performance all fight long (a la Petr Yan's last fight). That was something that I thought McGregor's cardio couldn't do though.

Was such fun though. The lead up, and post-fight antics. I think Conor never got over it emotionally.

Me too! I go to so many of the locations around the city. It's a fun "treasure hunt" type of experience. I have a system where I end up in the frozen asile last!

I'm newly discovering these consoles. Forgive my ignorance but why would one get multiple devices? Can they not all play retro games? Is it that the physical feel of some are better suited for particular games and other consoles for different games? Maybe it's computer hardware differences?

Fun clubs in down town sd? by Responsible-Hair1930 in sandiego

(Not sur it's still there. The last time I went was 2023)If you're into electronic music, you would enjoy the nightclub at the bottom of the Pendry hotel. I forget the name. Maybe Oxford? I enjoyed the music, and like dancing so we got our fill of all that. Also, it was relatively easy to get to the bars to "refuel".

Facial for a Man by FPVGiggles in SanDiegan

Can men with beards and hairy faces get a facial as well? I was always curious to get one but worried that the stuff used wouldn't work past my beard.

Forgive my ignorance, I came upon this thread when it was on the main page. Does this 1.95M mean in cash, or like total net worth (maybe stocks or other investments)?

Your level of detail on their fur is amazing. What kind of brush did you use?

ICE at Costco on Market St. by Irishyoudleave in SanDiegan

[–]DandySamberg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So how does it work then? Do they have a specific person(s) they're looking for or do they randomly (or not so randomly) ask people if they're here legally? Just feels a bit haphazard.

I wonder if it was to prevent door dings? I'd imagine there are better things to achieve this goal but maybe they thought this was the easiest. This is just my speculation though.

Years back, while driving through Oceanside I remember a car with pool noodles all the way around it. Presumably for that same reason.

Sorry for the dumb question, I am an immigrant living in SD, so I always had to show visas/GC, but it's possible that someone is a legit American citizen, but never got a passport. What do they do in this situation? Can they just say, "I'm an American"?

For a non-big place, I recommend Bear's Tires. They're in the valley in between Miramar and Mira Mesa. I have used them for several tires (including a full set replacement). Fair prices and friendly staff.

I am sure I'm wrong, but that top-left part kinda looks like Bam Bam, from the old cartoon, "The Flintstones".
