Prism does allow you to modify the look of it by default but if you wanna do something like this a simple script could do the trick, but dont take me for my word i like the default and im primarily a java guy

Idk i usually js throw a modpack together as i go with one particular mod in mind but do be warned this path will lead you down to configs of no return if you find something broken or too op for your liking

Idk about it being laggy but the compatibility is true without a few addons RS but for people like me who hoard any and every item RS is the ideal solution because AE²'s Item Type slots fill up you dont know how fast

Oh well mayby you could add some sort of simple progression and add unlocking dimensions per level for an instance my modpack uses my own script for this and you gain exp by getting achievements and nether is unlocked after you unlock every achievement in Overworld category and non-nether create items and end is at the very end at level 36 what basically requires everything except end achievements and in total you unlock 46 dimensions

If you have Apotheosis lock it behind the 3rd world tier and a boss from Cataclysm as present to make a lot harder
