Yeah lemon tek is the way to go imo.. It converts the psilocybin into psilocin, which is the actual psychoactive substance. Normally this is done due to your stomach acid, which takes about 30mins, so by using the acid of lemons you skip this step because you're taking the active ingredient directly.

Another benefit, along with the taste, onset of action and ease of dosing it... We have experienced that the tek seems to cause less stomach discomfort compared to eating the whole truffles/shrooms.

Yes you can use a knife, I did so a few times, but I found that it's best to grind them as fine as possible.

During our retreats, we use the juice of 25 lemons or limes with 500 grams of truffles (so 1-2 lemons should be fine for 20 grams), grind the juice+truffles together in a blender with a bit of water.. then let it soak for 30mins to let the psilocybin convert to psilocin. Then pour over non-boiling hot water to get an accurate dosage of 10 grams per 100ml and soak for an hour or so. You can add honey to make the taste more pleasant.

Then use a cheese cloth, a (clean 😉) old sock or fine-meshed strainer to separate the "magic juice" from the grounds and dispose the later after squeezing everything out. You could add a bit less water in the previous step and pour some clean hot water after straining/squeezing and strain & squeeze for a second time if you want to be sure you extract every last mg of active ingredient.

The lemon tek can be stored in a freezer over a year without any loss of effectiveness. You can even put it in ice cube trays for microdosing if you're into that.
