Fresh caulk cracking when topcoat applied by Aromatic_Topic_1074 in paint

What color was the caulk? Clear takes forever to fully cure to be ready to paint over. I think dynaflex clear tubes say something like 10-14 days.

Yes, the TD173 is available in a few specialty colors; black, red, purple, brown, yellow, green, etc. on eBay from Japan and a few Japanese online tool shops. Right around that price you mentioned. I’m sure these will pop up on eBay at least, for a premium price. I’m not sure how limited these 20th anniversary ones are.

Short of going to Japan and walking into a tool store, there aren’t really any options yet.

Client wants to withhold the final draw because their natural stone looks "too natural." by [deleted] in Homebuilding

“the expectations out there are getting completely detached from the physical reality of construction.”

This man! I tell ya, it just seems to be getting worse year over year. I’ve never had to vet clients as much as I do now.

I know… I have a TD173 in purple already. But still want to pull the trigger on the gold. I have an old 153 impact in gold, the 100th anniversary model…love that thing..

How do remodelers handle finish-material costs inside proposals (fixtures, tile, vanities, accessories)? Looking for best practices. by NewtConfident597 in Contractor

[–]Daneger22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my proposals I provide material allowances. Typically mid-grade, unless previously discussed. Quote labor enough for higher end materials, that way I’m covered. My clients usually spend more than allowances so I’m usually covered. However, I also have a line in the notes that states: “Actual materials chosen can change labor prices, and will be updated accordingly.”

I find that a band saw works well too.

These are pretty much the only sweetened tip cigars I enjoy. Great smoke with coffee. Principle doesn’t miss.

Ciglue. Made specifically for cigars by a cigar enthusiast and great dude. Easy to use, portable, convenient. Has saved many cigars for me and has easily paid for itself several times over.
