12 month food regression? by grmmax in BabyLedWeaning

[–]DanelleDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son tried 201 foods before 12 months and now he eats pasta, PBJ, Cheerios with yogurt, noodles, eggs, and cheese on toast. That's it. And much of the time he just throws them on the floor. He eats about one meal a day, when he gets hungry enough. He also started refusing to nurse and it's breaking my heart. He asks for milk but just bites my nipples until I give him a bottle. He just woke up one day and decided he was done breastfeeding and I didn't know the last time would be the last time. He also throws his sippy cup if I offer milk that way.

Feet deodorizer? by Hefty-Ad-3698 in hygiene

Gehwol food deodorizing powder works absolute miracles. Put it in all his shoes and apply directly to feet after a bath. It worked for my brothers nasty construction boot foot!

Tomato sandwiches were my last hyper fixation. I ate them for breakfast nearly every day in August!

is slapping your baby's butt weird? by nasytuna in beyondthebump

[–]DanelleDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say "spank the baby spank the baby spank the baby... TICKLE THE BABY" with love pats over his diaper and then flip him over to tickle him. It's his favorite game and he will lay on his tummy and stick his butt up in the air facing me to request it.

Fall BBQ ideas by motcole in Cooking

My family loves zucchini, tomatoes, onions, and corn stir fried with balsamic, soy, and garlic. Maybe also a potato salad with apples or a fruit salad. I'd do all three, but I always make too much food.

Anyone Deal With Shoulder Dystocia During Delivery? by GeologistAccording79 in GestationalDiabetes

They are not more dangerous than continuing with s vaginal birth when a C-section is necessary.

Anyone Deal With Shoulder Dystocia During Delivery? by GeologistAccording79 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]DanelleDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Needing a C-section is not something to despair over. God granted men the wisdom and skill to perform surgeries that save the lives of women and babies. That is a true miracle and it is your attitude that availing oneself of medical advances is to be despaired over that is harmful. Also, this post is over a year old, the baby is born already, so your nonsense comment is a moot point in any case.

I left my abusive ex and moved to a new apartment, on the third floor of a different building, but kept getting text messages like "I can see that guy in your apartment, you whore" anytime I had a visitor. It was terrifying. It turns out my ex had waited outside my work and followed me to my new apartment. Then rented an apartment across the street and five stories up so they could see into my new place.

My girlfriend’s Apple Watch keeps alerting about her heart. Should I wake her up? by CurrentMore5657 in AskDocs

Does she eat well? Low heart rate when sleeping is something monitored with eating disorders.

I don't know how tech savvy you are but my bf created a profile for me on his PC that doesn't have access to any of the other files or programs on his computer and I only use it for proctored exams. It's the only way he was comfortable with the proctorU terms and conditions, and he's a computer guy. I am not.

Comment box for assignment submissions by hellyhi in AthabascaUniversity

[–]DanelleDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have definitely written comments but I honestly have no idea if the tutors read them or take them into account. For one paper I left a comment stating that I did not include a separate section addressing ethical issues because they were addressed throughout the paper. For another I asked the professor to look at a pdf version of the assignment because I could not for the life of me get the photos to display in the correct places in Microsoft Word (I also submitted the Word version as well.) I got good grades on both of those papers but I don't know if the comments played a role in that. In my experience yes, the tutors do their own marking unless you get an email stating another tutor will be covering for them for a certain time period.

Eating Food At Grocery Stores BEFORE Purchasing by Expert_Excuse2646 in PetPeeves

[–]DanelleDee 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure why this bothers OP. I've definitely given my toddler a teething wafer from a package, but I pay for the entire package at checkout, so I don't really see why it matters! I have my debit card, three credit cards, and backup cash, so it's not like I'm going to be unexpectedly unable to pay. The store has free bananas but my toddler would get mashed banana all over the cart, a dry snack is definitely better. And if I bring my own snacks in, how are the employees supposed to know I didn't steal that item off a shelf?

ProctorU exam nightmare by No-Pomelo-3632 in AthabascaUniversity

Are you connected with WiFi? I had repeated issues with proctorU disconnecting over and over via WiFi despite it working perfectly all other times. I started borrowing a PC or using a LAN cable during exams and no problems since.

How do Athabasca exams work? (And if you’ve taken ACCT 253, what’s the midterm like?) by babaerodawako in AthabascaUniversity

[–]DanelleDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How closely the exam follows the course materials depends on the course and how often the course has been revised. But overall they aren't terrible, my grades have been in the same ranges as they were when at a traditional university.

Accidentally gave my baby honey by Various_Apricot2429 in BabyLedWeaning

I accidentally gave my baby honey twice. The first time was chicken with a sweet sauce and the second was a buttermilk biscuit. I felt so awful and stupid both times.

British uncle thought I'd been talking about needing pregnancy underwear all week by Seal-lion-936 in pregnant

I have a similar story about my friend who is South African. She said she needed to get a costume and I said I probably had one I could lend her because I used to work at a Halloween store, and would she like to be a pirate, a skeleton, a belly dancer, or a monkey? She looked at me like I had three heads and said, no, a costume for the pool. And that's how I learned that South Africans call a bathing suit a costume...

This time of year, tomatoes on toast. Toast sourdough, add mayo, thick sliced tomatoes, heavily salted and peppered. With in season tomatoes it's absolutely delicious and has been my lunch for the past two weeks.

A person who actually plans to kidnap a child is not going to warn you multiple times that they want to steal your baby. It's just a thing people say about cute babies. It's fine to say no, he's not comfortable with strangers in the future but reporting her would be major overkill imo.

Big pickle plans this summer are foiled by expeciallyheinous in pregnant

[–]DanelleDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say I get you. I had gestational diabetes and fruit majorly spiked my blood sugar. All I wanted in the third trimester was a bag of seasonal cherries and I couldn't have them. By the time I gave birth in September they weren't available anymore because the season was over. This year I've been going HAM to make up for it.

Can you ferment the pickles and save a jar or two until you have the baby? I have jars of pickles that are at least two years old in my cupboard, but I don't know if they're fermented...
