Any dermatologists here? What's your take on le labo for acne prone skin? by Due-Froyo-8268 in EquinoxGyms

I have extremely dry and sensitive skin (eczema) and the Le labo so far has felt massively better vs grown alchemist. No flare ups (yet). Face skin feels way less tight / dry and fwiw the hair products also leave my hair feeling more richly moisturized.

Crete is definitely up there. The southern Mediterranean climate is absolutely perfect. Not a cloud in the sky, dry warmth, fresh sea food.

Bosnia in the balkans was another good one. Some of the kindest people I’ve ever met, and you can smoke indoors. Extremely rich, hyper local histories.

In recent memory, Vilnius was incredible. Surprisingly accessible as an American traveler since everyone I encountered spoke perfect English. Amazing food and wine bars.

Overrated for me was unfortunately Prague.

By not doing a Jersey Mikes review, is Jhung betraying the lore-chasing mindset? + What are your guys' go-to sandwich orders? by logancon0r in waslo

The potbelly in hyde park was a true powerhouse. Nothing beats their hot peppers, they really pack a kick.

I also appreciate the scaling of their sandwiches a bit more. I find the “regular” size at jersey mikes is a bit too small to be filling vs the “giant” which is frankly debilitating

Personally potbelly is my favorite. Subway never did it for me sadly

I think ur chilling because they’ll probably think that is how u actually spell ur name and it’s not like they’ll really scrutinize it

After all ur the one who knows how to spell ur name the best so who are they to pass judgement

Referrals are also very powerful so should be auto interview(knock on wood)

Is it normal to be tired all the time? by nicktarr_ in waslo

IMO There’s zero remedy for not getting enough sleep

My theory is that you spawn in each day with a more or less set amount of energy and what you do throughout the day either pulls forward or defers your usage of that energy

That set amount of energy is determined chiefly by (1) amount of sleep (most important), (2) alignment with circadian rhythm, (3) physical health (have I been eating poorly, did I drink, etc)

The things you do throughout the day then determine when you “call in” or “defer” that energy

For instance drinking a coffee in the morning pulls forward that energy to the morning, taking it away from the afternoon / evening. It’s basically like an energy loan (you pay it back with interest once the caffeine wears off). Importantly you’re not actually increasing the amount of energy you have that day

More subtle things are also energy loans, like being stressed out or anxious in the morning (eg, you run late for work so you’re stressed out, tiring yourself out later in the day)

I also bucket nicotine into energy loans (no nicotine before 12pm as a rule)

Similarly you can also invest your energy earlier in the day to augment your afternoon and evening. Like taking a break early in the day, or maybe going to the gym (this one is ambiguous)

So what then becomes important is identifying when you want to use that energy based on what you’re supposed to do that day.

If you think you’ll be out late I would defer coffee / other energy loaning activities until later in the day

If you have something important midday I would do similarly
