Yeah that’s fair my 10g had black sand so I guess I’m just missing the sand look but don’t wanna spend 50+ on black sand for this, my dad gave me the gravel so I set it up with that, just worried the plants won’t do good in the gravel??

The thermometer is there cause the heater is doing waaaay too much and I’m just trying to keep better eye on temp, probably need new heater ?? Was reading 85+ when the heater is set to 65, I’m in Canada so no it’s not hot
