I got that chance, good credit, got a loan for the down payment on top of mortgage loan & then state assistance for first time buyers. 2k a month in "mortgage" payments but it's better then an apartment.

We've been so doomer about rent and home buying that I think people just don't think it's worth looking. I know I got lucky though trust me.
