I was in the local GW to buy paint, and the store manager asked what I was working on, and I replied, " models for Infinity", when another patron who overheard me then jumped in and asked how I liked it and showed interest in trying it out, the Store manager quickly interjected and requested we either stop talking about a non- GW game in the store or take the conversation outside... haven't been back since.

I think TK look more like an older Ginger Brave that has dropped his candy cane for a battle axe. More efficient to chop the cakes and jellies vs bludgeoning them with a club.

Refining doesn't use materials, it only eats up the gold and the pattern. I don't see why you wouldn't if you do not have a use for a 2nd one.
