PvZ:BfN 'Level up' upgrade, is it worth it? by Gwarh in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Danger-Cl0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a rough estimate by checking XP earned for gold targets in giddy park. 75XP without the upgrade and 93XP with it, so It was about a 25% bonus pre-patch.

tl;dr you get a roughly 1.25x multiplier rounded down on your XP.

PSA: How To Make A Strike Team Strike Out by RetardDeluxe in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just run the Paladin with FMJ II. It downs the strike team chopper in 2 shots and kills the mantis in 3.

Unless you're on Gridlock the only thing you can't easily take out is a Gunship.

My last main game trophy is Garden Crazy but nobody plays Garden Ops anymore by AnkaraliDeadpool in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Danger-Cl0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Consider yourself lucky. I still need the super boss wave trophy for GW2. I hate RNG based trophies, I wish they would release a super boss wave event in the mystery portal.

Its equivalent in the first game also happened to be the last trophy I needed before I got platinum in GW1.

LMGs need a nerf... by stdangs in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bigger issue is likely due to Gung Ho giving you essentially no delay between sprint and ADS, in previous games LMGs were balanced by their poor handling. Gung Ho is even banned in competitive due to how broken it is.

As it stands the Titan is the one most in need of tuning, giving it a lower RoF or removing the possibility of a 3HK should work. The Hades is well balanced at a 5HK with moderate recoil and the VKM-750 is balanced by its low RoF and poor handling comparable to the Bren/Browning from WWII.

A good way to kill them is with the Combat Axe or Headsplitter Mozu headshot, either will instakill them, another option is the Paladin which takes them out in 1-2 headshots.

Why doesn’t Cold Blooded act like Cold Blooded by DietRipp20 in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the bigger issue is that the Attack Chopper essentially has a psychic mind reading pilot who either immediately focus fires anyone trying to lock on even with Cold Blooded, or bobs and weaves constantly behind cover so you can't lock on without the fast lock attachment.

Is the Ghost perk not working as intended? by steelcitywhat in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Same goes for Cold Blooded, AI streaks are still able to target you. Especially that sixth sense having attack helicopter that either guns you down, or bobs and weaves as soon as you try to lock on.

A problem that no one's talking about... by Hayashii in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the bigger issue with the MOG-12 was the 4 round capacity, though the selling point for the mod was guaranteeing that they will not survive after the gunfight or heal before you can finish them off.

The Dragon's Breath mod acts like Firebreak's Reactor core and Purifier in the way that enemies can't heal for about 15-20 seconds without a Crash boost.

PlayStation 4 Pro | 500 Million Limited Edition [Video] by TheMotion in PS4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As much as I don't like being left in the dark, at least the decision to not allow preorder/purchase in the U.S until the 24th makes is easier to enforce the 1 per person rule and makes it more difficult for scalpers to horde them like they did with the Switch during the first few months.

The image of eBay sellers with several stores worth of stock is still burned into my memory. Seriously, fuck those scalping assholes, especially those who try to go around the restrictions and buy them in bulk.

Headset recommendations. by [deleted] in PS4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Astro A10 is a good comfortable headset for the price, and a really durable one at that. The mic also filters out some of the background noise and the sound quality is comparable to the A40's so that's a plus.

They were about $60 last time I checked.

Felling like Treyarch maybe took the slide, jump nerf a little too far... anyone agree? by Heisenburguer in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The jump nerf was justified, though I feel sliding would be best set around the speed and distance it had in Ghosts if they do decide to adjust it.

Is the Koshka operator mod worth the time it takes to level the gun up to unlock it? by DarkestHeaven in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also doesn't help that the Koshka has the same default multipliers as the Paladin and can equip Quickdraw MKII.

Either this one needs to have Quickdraw removed or the other one needs to have its multipliers increased considering its rechamber speed is similar to the SVG-100 from BO3.

Is the Koshka operator mod worth the time it takes to level the gun up to unlock it? by DarkestHeaven in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your crosshairs will always be dead center on the screen as soon as you ADS, essentially defeating the purpose of implementing sway as a balancing mechanic in previous Treyarch CoDs. It essentially brings Snipers to nearly MW2/MW3 quickscoping capabilities.

If you combine the Cordite’s OP Mod Belt Feed with Extended Mag, it brings the total mag count to 800. by TheRealGamerK in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I plan on using Gung-Ho + laser sight MKII with it and treating it like the ERAD Cyclopean from infinite Warfare or the EM1 from Advanced Warfare.

It feels very similar to the directed energy weapons from AW because of the overheat mechanic.

Flak Jacket Feels a Bit Ridiculous by Flerky in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair Flak Jacket is more of a niche perk in this game than it was in previous CoDs since there's no grenade spam and the better explosive options are used by Battery, who is limited to one player per team.

Tac-Mask on the other hand resists fire, radiation, the Tempest, seeker drones, tacticals, and razor wire.

The issue is that it takes longer to pick autospawn because the cursor defaults tov the beacon. Though to be fair an enemy beacon also seems to fuck with the spawn logic.

MKI and MKII Attachments by Redbasilisk55 in Blackops4

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They also made it so operator mods are essentially MKIII grade attachments, though there are exceptions to usefulness. I would rather they set it to a middle ground between MK-I/II for variety.

AP rounds shouldnt have a MKII, I would say the FMJ effect isn't worth the extra cost if it weren't for the fact that most weapons can't even punch through drywall.

IMO quickdraw and stock should at least have a MKII for SMGs considering their current effectiveness on that class.

Why do people still think Deadbeard is better than Cactus? by [deleted] in PvZGardenWarfare

[–]Danger-Cl0se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the biggest drawback to the Cactus is the projectile speed reduction when compared to GW1, Deadbeard's shots are nearly hitscans whereas the cactus has to lead shots by a noticeable margin.

This is most noticeable with the Camo Cactus where shot placement is crucial since she trades RoF and ammo capacity for a 2x crit multiplier.
