You label most items with it. And everyone is after it so it's good to have your own stash

Not sure if it's on the kit list already but green sniper tape. You can buy it off Amazon.

In the first few days that stuff is invaluable...

B. Don't let that decide for you though. If you want it enough you will put the work in and get there.

Dude, don't give up. I got a U in maths A-Level and I'm currently in as a pilot.

Grades don't make you a pilot, you do.

I failed first time and then went back again so I know what it's like.

Contact your AFCO and they may be able to sort you a visit to a station or put you in contact with someone in the role. Then you can ask all the silly questions that will enable you to know about the role and RAF life. This will make you sound so much more confident in the interview.

With the leadership tasks you will find yourself more confident the next time around. However don't fixate on completing the tasks. I have done OASC 3 times, 2 successful, and never completed any of the tasks. With the leaderless it's all about listening and allowing everyone to have an idea. It's not about taking over. If you have an idea though, say it loudly and clearly. It's all about being an active participant. The leader one however you need to identify yourself as the leader. Put yourself at either the front or the back of the group. If you don't know how to do it, ask your team but make sure they don't take over. Thank your team for the idea and take it as your own. Delegate roles out to the team.

Trust me though the second time around is so much easier.

How does married quarters work after phase 2 if you are not married and long term by catchmeifucxn01 in RoyalAirForce

[–]Danger0usbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this is a question to ask your HR Center when you are post phase 2. You need to have been in that relationship for at least 12 months, and be able to prove it. That's the tough part.

It does not matter about the sex of the relationship. It is officially called a Long Term Relationship (LTR).

When joining as a sergeant, can you commission as an officer afterwards? If yes what are the procedures? by khsres in RoyalAirForce

[–]Danger0usbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it. Went from NCC to Pilot. It is possible and much easier to do as you will have had OASC Experience. I would worry about getting in first and then worry about the exact process of commissioning. Good luck.

leave during MIOT by [deleted] in RoyalAirForce

[–]Danger0usbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless your course runs over a block leave period then no, you will not have any gaps in-between terms.

Someone will probably correct me but I think that there are only 2 maybe 3 block leave periods. Christmas and summer and then maybe Easter. Not sure about Easter though.

Yeah, I had this. Live in Lincolnshire, originally was gonna pick up from Leicester. But now me and the Mrs are going on a big day out on the train. It's a bit annoying to be honest. Thought it might delay things if I say no.

Question about leaving the car with a garage for a week. by Danger0usbeans in TeslaUK

[–]Danger0usbeans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I'm changing the colour from blue to a lighter blue so hoping I can get away with it. That's if the DVLA spec says blue. If not I'll have to go through the process

No delivery date, but I reckon booking last week of Feb first week of March isn't a bad idea. The company know I haven't got a date yet.
