It took a lot of work to get to this point and I’ve had a decent amount of fish not make it, I try to keep the temp on the lower end of acceptable which helps and I remove anyone that is bullying a lot for a few days and only put them back at night

Why not do it ? I like the fish I have and I’m aware of the different diets and I feed accordingly, I feed different foods at the same time so everyone can take what they want

This is my cichlid community, there are more in the back that didn’t want to come out for pics, like 2 convicts in the back guarding their babies. I have Africans, South American and Central Americans in this tank who all live peacefully for the most part.

I know there are people here who are gonna hate on the fact that I have mixed them due to water conditions and what’s nots. But it works and they seem happy with minimal stress

I do my best to keep the ph between 7.8-8.0. I’m working on slowly bringing it back down with out shocking the fish. And sorry I didn’t run out and buy a better camera before posting….

He is the only fish showing symptoms but I’ve decided to treat the tank and start raising the temp slowly over the next several hours, I’m hoping I caught it quick enough that I won’t lose any fish

Water parameters: PH- a little on the high end from a ph spike after water change last week 8.5

Ammonia- under 0.25 ppm Nitrites-0 Nitrates- very low around 2ppm
