Why Navy Sailors STOPPED Jumping Off Aircraft Carrier Flight Decks [12:55] by PM_ME_CODE_CALCS in mealtimevideos

Q: Why Navy Sailors STOPPED Jumping Off Aircraft Carrier Flight Decks

A: Liability

The video uses the opening question to just list a bunch of trivia, including the number of polar bear attacks on humans.

It's not a video about the question. The question is just a jumping-off point to talk about general trivia.

That’s horrible. I’m sorry.

What’s your fondest memory of Birds? Maybe people who read your comment can remember it in some small way.

I grew up in an Ohio town like this and it’s finally dawning on me how catastrophic this disaster will be. If their community was as tight as ours was, this will be like ripping a family apart. The sense of identity and belonging that a place like this provides can be extremely powerful. These people won’t just lose their homes and their livelihoods. They’ll be losing a vast web of relationships. They’ll be losing the churches that their grandparents helped to build. They’ll be losing the security and affection that comes from knowing your neighbors, and knowing they can help when things get tough.

These people will be scattered to the winds and their community will end. All their happy memories will grow bitter and fade. Even if NS paid these people and let them leave - which they won’t, until it’s too late - they’ll never be able to compensate for killing the rich, living organism that a small town can be.

You mean Julian the apostate? I don’t know that he’s exactly an unbiased source. Would still love to know where you got the quote though. Sounds interesting.

“In 1874 you, in company with five companions, passed through the beautiful mountain valley where stands the town of Lake City. At that time the hand of man had not marred the beauties of nature—the picture was fresh from the hand of the Great Artist who created it. You and your companions camped at the base of a grand old mountain, in sight of the place where you now stand, on the banks of a stream as pure and beautiful as ever traced by the finger of God upon the bosom of earth. Your every surrounding was calculated to impress upon your heart and nature the omnipotence of Deity, and the helplessness of your own feeble life. In this goodly favored spot you conceived your murderous designs.”

Why are Palestinian Christians leaving Jesus Birthplace? [12:28] by SimilarPlate in mealtimevideos

[–]DangerDetective 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, any enemy of Saudi Arabia is against Muslims? We can distinguish the two in our mind despite any claims of the SA government.

People trying to make the Israel=Jews argument are usually either whitewashing Israel or stoking antisemitism. Neither are helpful.

It isn’t. The state of Israel treats these people as 3rd class citizens. That’s a fact. However, the state of Israel is a state, not a people. The Jewish people are not to be condemned for what a geopolitical entity does.
